My top priorities for the Assessor’s Office are transparency, modernization, customer service, and maintaining fair and accurate valuations for every property owner in the county. I believe the Assessor’s Office should not only meet statutory requirements, but also be accessible, responsive, and easy for residents to understand and navigate.
In my first 100 days, I would focus on strengthening communication with the public by improving online resources, simplifying property information, and making it easier for residents to understand how valuations are determined. I also want to continue modernizing technology and data systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times for property records and data requests.
Another priority is investing in staff development and collaboration. The experience and knowledge within the office are one of our greatest assets, and I want to ensure employees have the tools and training they need to continue serving the public at a high level.
I would also spend time meeting with community members, local governments, and stakeholders across the county to better understand concerns and identify opportunities for improvement. The first 100 days are about building momentum, strengthening trust, and making sure the office continues moving forward in a way that is fair, transparent, and service-focused for all residents.
I want to serve now because Adams County is at a point where experience, stability, and modernization matter more than ever. Over the last two decades working in the Assessor’s Office, I’ve seen how much this work impacts everyday people, from homeowners and seniors to small businesses and entire neighborhoods.
As the current Assessor, I’ve worked to make the office more transparent, accessible, and technology-driven while keeping fairness at the center of every decision. I’m running because I don’t want to lose the progress we’ve made. There’s still more to do to modernize our systems and make property information clearer, easier to understand, and more trustworthy for residents.
I’m running now because I believe strong leadership and stability are important during a time when many property owners are concerned about valuations and affordability.
I believe the current property valuation system is built on a strong foundation of fairness, market analysis, and state law, but there is always room to improve how we serve property owners. Valuations today rely heavily on sales data, property characteristics, and mass appraisal models to ensure consistency across the county. That process is important because every property owner deserves to know their value was determined objectively and uniformly.
That said, I believe the future of property valuation should focus on greater transparency, modernization, and communication. As Assessor, I would continue investing in better technology, improved GIS mapping tools, and more accurate data analysis so valuations reflect real market conditions as closely as possible. I also believe we should make property information easier for residents to understand by expanding online tools, simplifying the appeal process, and improving communication with homeowners before they feel frustrated or confused.
At the end of the day, people want fairness and trust in the process. My goal is to combine experience with innovation, so our office remains accurate, efficient, and responsive to the community we serve.
