Submitted Biography I am a fifth-generation Coloradan who was born and raised in North Denver, where my family has lived for nearly a century. Inspired by a family legacy of activism and public service, I have spent more than 20 years organizing, advocating, and fighting for the communities that raised me. Throughout my career, I have worked to protect reproductive freedom, expand healthcare access, defend civil rights, and create opportunities for working families. I helped lead the successful campaign to pass Amendment 79, protecting abortion rights in Colorado's Constitution, and have served as President of both the Denver Young Democrats and Colorado Young Democrats. I am running for State House because I believe every family deserves a fair shot, and I am ready to keep fighting for affordable housing, strong public schools, reproductive freedom, and economic opportunity for all Coloradans.

I think the most important quality in an elected official is remembering who you work for. Elected leaders should be connected to their communities, listen more than they talk, and never lose sight of the people whose lives are affected by the decisions they make. My family taught me that public service is about showing up, standing up for your neighbors, and fighting for what is right, even when it is difficult. That's what has guided me throughout more than 20 years of organizing and advocacy work in Denver. I believe people want leaders who are honest, accessible, and willing to do the hard work of solving problems. An elected official does not need to have all the answers, but they should be willing to listen, learn, and always put their community first.
Yes, I believe compromise is a very important part of governing. No one person has all the answers, and the best solutions come from listening to different perspectives and finding ways to work together. In my experience as an organizer and advocate, progress happens when people are willing to sit down, have honest conversations, and focus on solving problems. That is how you build trust and get things done. I also think compromise does not mean giving up your values. I have spent my career fighting for reproductive freedom, civil rights, and working families because those are issues that matter deeply to me. You can be open to different ideas and approaches while staying grounded in what you believe. I think people want leaders who are practical, respectful, and focused on results. They want someone who can work with others when possible, stand firm when necessary, and always put the community first.
I am passionate about the issues that have shaped my work for the past two decades: protecting reproductive freedom, expanding access to affordable healthcare, strengthening public education, and creating more opportunities for working families. I am also deeply committed to addressing Colorado's housing affordability crisis. Too many people are being priced out of the communities they grew up in, and we need policies that make it easier for working people, young families, and seniors to find and keep affordable housing. As someone who has spent my career organizing in communities across Colorado, I care deeply about civil rights, voting rights, transportation, and ensuring that everyone has a voice in the decisions that affect their lives. I am passionate about building a Colorado where everyone has the freedom, opportunity, and support they need to thrive.
I believe deeply in the power of voting because I have seen firsthand how it can change people's lives. The ballot box is where our voices come together and where communities have the power to shape their future. So much of the progress we have made as a state and a country has happened because people organized, showed up, and voted. Protecting our democracy matters so much to me. Every eligible voter deserves the opportunity to participate and to know that their vote will be counted. I have confidence in the integrity of Colorado's elections. Our state has some of the strongest election systems in the country, with secure mail ballots, bipartisan oversight, signature verification, and transparent auditing processes that help ensure every vote is counted accurately. I also know that trust in our democracy is something we have to earn and protect. We should continue strengthening our election systems and making it easier for people to participate. I want every voter to feel confident that their voice matters because our democracy is strongest when everyone has a seat at the table and a say in our future.
