First 2 months: Audit dangerous intersections, starting at Griffin Road and University Drive, for quick safety fixes like signal timing and lighting. Also connect residents facing foreclosure or eviction with county and state resources, since housing instability, something I have lived through myself, cannot wait.
Next 2 years: Pursue smart growth that protects our equestrian heritage and green space while expanding health care access for chronic disease management. Push for fiscal transparency through clearer public spending reports, and bring technologic innovation like app based transit to make town services easier to use.
Why: These are what residents feel daily, safety and housing, and what shapes Davie's future and growth.
Davie should lead on reduction, recycling, and reuse rather than just hauling trash away.
Reduction: Partner with businesses and schools to cut waste at the source, limiting single use plastics at town events and requiring waste reduction standards for new development.
Recycling: Many residents are unsure what belongs in the bin, contaminating loads. I would push for clear public education, using an app or NFC info points at collection sites, and audit our recycling contract for transparency on where materials actually go.
Reuse: Support a community reuse hub or swap events for furniture and household goods, partnering with groups like Kiwanis to keep costs low.
Solving this starts with towns taking ownership locally.
Housing needs both levels working together: the town controls zoning, the county controls broader funding.
Municipally, Davie should update zoning for smart growth options like the Bardonium concept, a barn and condominium hybrid, plus accessory dwelling units and workforce housing near job centers. Offer density bonuses to developers who commit to affordable units, and protect homestead exemptions so long time residents are not priced out.
At the county level, Davie should pursue existing housing trust funds and state grants, and push for regional coordination so we are not competing against neighboring cities for the same units.
Fiscal transparency matters too: residents deserve to see exactly how housing funds are spent.
I would protect core public safety and infrastructure services first, then evaluate others by resident impact and legal mandate, not just budget size. Services with the broadest daily impact, roads, safety, water, would be prioritized over discretionary spending.
To offset shortfalls, I would push commercial growth to carry more of the tax base, since businesses benefit from town infrastructure and should share that cost. I would pursue state and county grant programs, such as those for urban forestry and historic preservation, that Davie is not currently fully utilizing.
Fiscal transparency would guide every decision: residents should see exactly where cuts or new revenue occur.
My work with the NAACP, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. ,Kiwanis Club, and Florida Rising, I already engage residents where they gather, not just at town hall. I built a community platform connecting residents to scholarships, jobs, and local openings, and I plan to bring that same spirit to town government through R.I.S.E: Representation, Infrastructure, Service, and Empowerment.
I would push for a multilingual AI concierge so language is never a barrier to accessing town services or information. I would also hold decision making sessions in neighborhoods directly, not only at town hall, and use simple technology like NFC info points to keep residents updated between meetings.
Unity comes from residents feeling heard, not just informed.

1. Residents First
Foster open communication, encourage meaningful resident participation, and provide easy access to timely, transparent, and up-to-date community information.
2. Preservation Restoration
Protect our green spaces and open land from overdevelopment, while holding developers accountable for preserving the character and architectural heritage of existing structures.
Education is the foundation of a successful recycling program. I will launch quarterly community initiatives and local events to teach residents practical ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
I also believe in rewarding positive behavior. I will propose an incentive program that provides utility bill discounts for households that consistently recycle correctly. Every home should receive a recycling bin, and the Town should implement a tracking program to measure participation and target additional education where needed.
Finally, I will build partnerships with companies that repurpose materials like plastics and rubber, helping divert more waste from landfills while creating a stronger, more sustainable circular economy for Davie.
I will advocate for workforce housing that is truly affordable, not just affordable in name. Housing costs should not exceed 30% of a household's gross income, the nationally recognized standard for affordability. For example, someone earning $15 an hour working full-time should pay no more than 30% of their income toward rent. This principle should guide every workforce housing program so residents can still afford food, transportation, healthcare, childcare, and save for the future. Workforce housing should create financial stability and opportunity, not leave hardworking families struggling to make ends meet.
Governor DeSantis has challenged local governments to become more efficient and rely less on property taxes. Whether the state can fully replace lost revenue remains to be seen, and we won't know the exact impact until legislation is finalized. As a Councilmember, I would first eliminate wasteful spending, conduct a zero-based budget review, aggressively pursue grants and state revenue opportunities, and protect essential services like police, fire, roads, and parks before asking taxpayers for more. I believe taxpayers deserve both lower taxes and responsible government.
Community engagement shouldn't be limited to Town Hall meetings. Many residents feel intimidated speaking at the podium in front of a crowd with strict time limits. As your Councilmember, I will host monthly "Coffee with Your Councilmember" meetups and informal neighborhood gatherings where residents can share concerns, ask questions, and offer ideas in a relaxed setting. I want people to know I'm not just their elected official, I'm their neighbor. By meeting residents where they are and listening without barriers, we can build trust, strengthen our community, and encourage more residents to participate in Town Hall meetings because they know they have someone genuinely listening and advocating for them.

1.) Public Safety. As our Town has growth, other issues arise, we must keep our residents safe at all times.
2.) Keeping Taxes Low. By keeping the Town's taxes low, we encourage more people to take roots up in the Town of Davie.
If we don't stay on top of this issue, we will be buried under our waste. We have to work together with other municipalities and come together for a solution that will benefit all of our residents. The Town is working on a program for a composting machine at our Farm Park.
We have worked with our developers to offer Affordable Housing, Workforce Housing, Low Income Housing, HUD Housing, Mixed Use Development, Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), Transit-Oriented Communities (TOC), in there projects.
We have already been working on this to prepare for our future services. We have a tax roll-back rate coming to our residents in 2027. The Town's millage rate now is 5.6250, it will roll back to 5.3392 for our residents.
As a resident, I have always listen to my neighbors and their concerns and comments to the future of our Town. Where we came from and where we are progressing to toward the future. As a Town Councilmember, my door is always open, I return calls and respond to emails. Communication is the key!
