1) Economic growth through job creations
2) 24 hours childcare center to help those working in factories and healthcare
3) public safety and mental health reforms
Accelerating the implementation of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) while scaling up localized grid resiliency and flood mitigation infrastructure is widely considered the most beneficial policy approach for New York State (NYS). To effectively reduce emissions and protect communities from mounting climate damages, experts and policymakers focus on three core pillars:
1. Decarbonizing the Energy Grid & Buildings
2) Investing in Climate Adaptation & Resiliency
3) Funding Mechanisms & Climate Justice
To promote social and racial justice effectively, focus on comprehensive structural reforms across the legal system, economic infrastructure, housing markets, and environmental planning.
New York State should strengthen its own state-level voting rights protections and explore state constitutional amendments to counter the fallout from the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark ruling.
