Nuclear Energy. Nuclear energy is safe, green, cheap and New York State is blessed with everything needed for it. Question like this has lead NY to having the 8th highest electricity in the state by shutting down power plants without having new sources ready, this has particularly hurt our seniors and younger member who are just starting off. Nuclear energy corrects this mistake while preserving our wonderous world that was lent to us by our children.
Fixing affordability and promoting job creation. I believe in the equality of opportunity, the pursuit of happiness if you will. The foundation of this is finical well being, who is more likely to break the cycle of poverty? A person on welfare who lives is a shelter or a person making 60,000 who lives in modest home? Affordability and good paying jobs is the American Dream, our state has failed the "oppressed" not by racism or prejudice but by crushing the poorest of us with a never ending and worsening affordability crisis.
Take districting out of the hands of the politicians and into an independent commission. Across the country we have seen that we cannot trust politicians to create district maps without using it as a weapon against their opponents, this is true for Democrats and Republicans. Even New York has had gerrymandering issues. Let us have our federal representative call for nation wide use of independent commissions.
