The best climate policies are the ones that protect people now and reduce pollution long-term. I would fully fund New York’s climate law, but make sure the money reaches frontline communities. That means repairing and decarbonizing NYCHA without privatization, planting more trees, creating cooling centers, protecting waterfront neighborhoods from flooding, improving drainage, and cutting air pollution near schools, highways, and homes. I would also fight for local climate jobs so our residents are not just affected by climate policy — they are hired to help build the solution. Climate justice must mean cleaner air, safer homes, lower bills, and no displacement.
Social and racial justice must be about repair. In the 68th Assembly District, reparations should be looked at through many lenses: housing, health, education, jobs, environment, and family justice. That means protecting NYCHA, stopping displacement, funding schools, creating youth jobs, supporting small businesses, improving maternal and mental health care, and cleaning up the air in communities that have carried pollution for too long. Reparations are not just about the past. They are about fixing the systems that still harm our communities today and making sure every family has a fair chance to live, grow, and build power.
After Louisiana v. Callais, New York must protect voting rights at the state level. I would fully fund and enforce the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act of New York, require fair map reviews, expand language access, and create a rapid response team when voters face problems. I would also fund trusted community groups to educate voters and use election data to catch unfair practices early. We must draw districts in a legal and fair way, but we also must make sure no community is silenced, divided, or pushed out of power. Democracy should belong to the people.

A strong climate agenda for NY should focus on environmental justice, clean energy jobs, and protecting working families. I support investing in renewable energy and modernizing buildings for energy efficiency. We must also ensure that low-income communities which are often hit hardest by pollution, receive cleaner air.
I support policies that expand affordable housing, strengthen public education, protect workers’ rights, support MWBEs and small businesses, improve access to quality healthcare, and create pathways to good-paying jobs.
NY should continue leading on voting rights, fair representation, and equal access to democracy. I support transparency in the redistricting process and ensuring low income communities are not excluded from meaningful representation. We must continue to invest in civic engagement, language access, and enforcement against discriminatory practices.
