AFFORDABLE HOUSING Protecting and preserving affordable housing is a top priority. Together, we will strengthen oversight of Mitchell-Lama developments like Rochdale Village, fight deed theft and foreclosure, expand home repair support for seniors, partner with faith-based institutions to develop unused property, and demand long-overdue repairs and investment for NYCHA residents.

EDUCATION: FROM CRADLE TO CAREER Every child deserves opportunity from early childhood through career. Together we will expand 3K and Pre-K, support trade and workforce pathways, protect the Excelsior Scholarship, ensure reduced class sizes are implemented, defend reproductive freedom, and advocate for special needs students, implement more social services for youth. TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE Reliable transportation connects our community to jobs, schools, and healthcare. We will improve bus routes and add needed stops, expand cross-town options, ensure seniors have accessible transit.
Environmental Justice can address climate change by making sure the communities most affected by pollution, flooding, heat waves, and poor air quality receive protection and investment first. Communities of color are disproportionately affected by pollution and climate risks. In order to address this, we must do more to reduce pollution in low-income neighborhoods, invest in clean energy jobs. improving public transit access, address lead exposure and water quality. Through this, climate resilience and public health can be improved and climate change can be addressed.
We have already passed the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act of New York, which protects minority voters and requires review of certain election changes to prevent discrimination. Expanding language access, early voting, and voter education programs would further improve participation among marginalized communities and amidst what is happening nationally around voting strengthening and promoting this is crucial.
We can look to expand State Constitutional Protections with the state legislature by adopt amendments to guarantee Equal voting opportunity, Fair representation and Protection against racial vote dilution. We can also strengthen the New York Voting Rights Act and clarify protections by making it easier to challenge racially discriminatory district maps in state court and require stronger review of local redistricting decisions.

Addressing climate change in New York starts with making real investments in cleaner energy, better public transportation, and stronger infrastructure that can handle flooding, heat waves, and severe storms. The state should focus on fixing roads, subways, and drainage systems while also expanding solar and wind energy to lower pollution and energy costs. It’s also important to make sure communities that deal with the most pollution and flooding get the support they need first. Creating more green jobs and training programs can help people earn good wages while building a cleaner and safer future for New York families.
I would pursue policies focused on Reparations and Historical Redress, Institutional Equity, Public Health and Anti-Discrimination, and Economic and Social Investment. That includes supporting reparations initiatives that address the lasting impact of slavery and systemic racism, creating stronger racial equity standards across state government, treating racism as a public health crisis, and protecting vulnerable communities from discrimination. I also support investing in communities of color through affordable housing, quality public education, fair wages, healthcare access, and economic opportunities that help families build long-term stability and wealth.
After the Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais, I believe New York should take strong action to protect voting rights, racial fairness, and equal representation. The state should strengthen protections against voter suppression, expand access to early voting and mail-in voting, and make sure communities of color are fairly represented during the redistricting process. I would also support creating stronger state-level voting rights protections so New Yorkers are not left vulnerable when federal protections are weakened. At the same time, New York should continue investing in civic engagement, legal protections against discrimination, and independent oversight to make sure every community has a fair voice in government.

My top priorities are affordability, public safety rooted in community investment, and building a stronger future for Southeast Queens. I will fight for affordable housing and pathways to homeownership, stronger protections for tenants and homeowners, and real investments that prevent displacement. I will advocate for safer communities by investing in youth programs, mental health services, violence prevention, and economic opportunity alongside public safety measures.

I will also focus on workforce development, small business support, and infrastructure improvements so our neighborhoods receive the resources they deserve. AD 32 deserves leadership that is present, accountable, and focused on delivering results for everyday people.
New York must treat climate change as both an environmental and economic justice issue. We need major investments in clean energy, resilient infrastructure, flood mitigation, and public transit, especially in historically underinvested communities like Southeast Queens. I support expanding renewable energy, energy efficiency programs, and community solar while ensuring working-class families can actually access these benefits.

We must also strengthen oversight of utilities, reduce pollution burdens near highways and airports, improve green space, and create union jobs connected to the clean energy transition. Climate policy must prioritize the communities most impacted by pollution, redlining, and climate-related disasters.
I will pursue policies that expand economic opportunity, protect civil rights, and address longstanding racial inequities in housing, healthcare, education, and infrastructure investment. AD 32 is a historically Black, immigrant, and working-class community that has helped power New York for generations, yet too many families still face displacement, rising costs, environmental burdens, and barriers to opportunity.

I will fight to strengthen tenant protections while also expanding pathways to affordable homeownership so families can build generational wealth and remain in the communities they helped build. I support investing in public schools, youth programs, minority-owned small businesses, language access, and equitable clean energy programs that lower costs for working families.

Social and racial justice requires not only addressing discrimination, but making direct investments in historically underserved communities like Southeast Queens.
New York should continue strengthening protections against voter suppression and racial discrimination while ensuring all communities have fair representation and equal access to the democratic process. Our state should support independent redistricting practices, language access for voters, expanded voter education, and protections that uphold the Voting Rights Act’s core principles. At a time when voting rights are increasingly under attack nationally, New York must lead by protecting democratic participation and ensuring every community has a meaningful voice in government.
