I am an Program Director, Educator, and Public Servant who has spent a career helping people understand complex information and navigate difficult processes. I bring nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, working in environments that demand accuracy, compliance, and responsible decision making. I also have a background in Political Science that supports my understanding of how government operates. In Jackson, I serve on the Planning Commission, Board of Review, and County Land Bank Authority, where I work directly with assessments, tax appeals, and redevelopment and focus on clear answers without unnecessary runaround.

I have lived in Jackson for 18 years and have built a strong record of service across city and county boards that shape housing, development, public safety, and taxation. I understand how these decisions affect residents and where confusion and delays often occur. I work constructively with others to keep things moving and avoid inconsistency. As Treasurer, I will focus on clear answers, responsive service, and making sure residents are not sent from office to office. My goal is simple: reliable service that people can understand and count on.

My strength is in oversight and coordination. I will work with city officials to review tax credits, incentives, and policies so they are applied consistently and support long term community goals. I will coordinate with city departments and maintain communication with the County Treasurer to prevent confusion or delays. Accountability means being clear and consistent about decisions. Transparency means residents understand what they owe, why they owe it, and what happens next. I will provide clear explanations, straightforward timelines, and access to information so residents can get answers without unnecessary runaround.

As the current City of Jackson Treasurer, I have firsthand experience serving residents and carrying out the duties of the office. Selected by a vote of City Council in September 2025 to fill the vacancy, I have worked with residents, staff, tax collections, and the financial processes that support city services. My career has focused on financial decision-making, business operations, and cost control, with experience in financial investment offices, a stormwater construction business, an educational startup, and bookkeeping. I bring accuracy, accountability, customer service, and sound judgment to managing public funds.

As the current City of Jackson Treasurer, I have made fairness, consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness priorities of the office. I will continue to protect taxpayer dollars through responsible financial management and prudent investment decisions that support services, improvements, and programs for residents. I also work to make the City’s collection and investment processes more transparent. When residents bring questions or concerns to me, I listen, seek answers, and work to resolve problems whenever possible.

As the current City of Jackson Treasurer, I will continue to make the office accessible, responsive, easy to understand, and transparent. I maintain an open-door approach, answer questions directly, and help residents find the right information. I use social media to share deadlines, tax information, and helpful programs. As an independently elected citywide official, I will raise residents’ concerns with City Council, the City Manager, and department heads when policies, payment options, collections, or programs create an unnecessary burden on the residents - always making decisions in the best interests of the residents of Jackson.
