I am running for Register of Wills to modernize and strengthen this vital office. As a public servant and educator, I help make government accessible to residents. I serve on several boards and work with attorneys, department heads, and elected officials. Having experienced personal loss, I understand the probate process and will help ensure it is transparent and compassionate. I will also proactively educate the community about this office’s important role for residents in our county.
I will implement a multi-step approach grounded in Maryland and probate law with best practices for a Register of Wills office: streamlined processes, clear communication, and staff training. I will ensure all staff are well-trained in probate law, customer service, and sensitivity to families experiencing loss, so interactions are professional and compassionate. I will set clear service standards, defining expectations for response times (calls, emails, filings), professionalism, and follow-up.
Accessibility & Inclusivity Make the office welcoming and approachable for all residents, including those with limited experience with probate or legal matters. I will be proactive in educating the community about the importance of this office and the services it provides, as many residents are unaware of its role until they need it. I will prioritize outreach, public education, and transparency so individuals and families can better prepare and understand their options. Knowing the law!
I am a wife, mother, educator, and community advocate dedicated to serving others. I have built strong partnerships with attorneys, judges, elected officials, and community organizations to expand access and improve services. With over 17 endorsements, I bring trusted leadership and a proven record of delivering responsive, effective government services for residents across our county and state. My leadership style is collaborative, solutions-focused, and grounded in real-world experience.

I’m running for Register of Wills because, in my 17 years with the office, I’ve seen how vital it is to have leadership grounded in real, hands-on experience. I bring a strong background in legal, administrative, and public service, with deep knowledge of probate law. My work has focused on accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and helping families navigate complex processes with clarity and care.
I will continue to ensure respectful, helpful, and timely service by strengthening staff training, improving communication, and streamlining office processes. My experience allows me to identify delays and implement practical solutions that make the estate process easier. I promote accountability and treat every family with dignity, while expanding resources and support so residents can navigate probate with clarity and confidence.
My priorities will be to expand the assistance our office provides to families navigating probate, while ensuring we offer guidance without crossing into legal advice. The probate process can be daunting, but with the right experience, we can help make it more understandable. I will focus on clear communication, accessible resources, and consistent support so every individual receives reliable, practical guidance, regardless of their situation.
I have dedicated my 17-year career to this work because it is truly my passion. When I was appointed in 2024, I stepped in to help restore trust in the office after a difficult period of instability. I am running because I care deeply about this role and the people it serves. I remain committed to providing experienced, compassionate, and reliable service to every family during some of life’s most difficult moments. I respectfully ask for your support and hope to earn your vote.
