Conduct an efficiency audit to identify unnecessary spending, develop a plan to lower North Lauderdale’s 7.4 millage rate. I will cease the proposed downtown redevelopment, I will pursue recovery of funds owed to the city, including disputed overbilling by Waste Pro, through proper legal and contractual review. I will also push to eliminate the use of taxpayer dollars for unnecessary discretionary spending and redirect those funds toward residents’ needs to balance the budget and grow our reserves. I will plan a sustainable path to reducing the tax burden on homeowners. Drawing on my background in criminal justice and criminology, I will work closely with BSO to strengthen enforcement against illegal activity in our community.
Support a big push for citywide waste-reduction education campaign, collaborate with local businesses, and community organizations to reduce landfill waste.
Collaborate with Broward County and nonprofit housing organizations, pursuing county, state, and federal housing grants that go toward affordable housing.
I’d have to conduct an efficiency audit in order to make that determination. Police and fire are a must. To make up for the budget shortfalls I would pursue a community partnership model rooted in corporate social responsibility. Historically, businesses have contributed to the communities in which they operate through investments in parks, recreational facilities, youth programs, and other public amenities. would approach major businesses and corporations operating in North Lauderdale, including Aldi, Publix, Walmart, Ross, and McDonald’s, to explore voluntary partnerships and community investment agreements. These partnerships could support neighborhood beautification, youth development, public spaces, and other initiatives.
By establishing an Adopt-a-Street program and ensuring every street in North Lauderdale has a designated Street Captain to help identify neighborhood concerns and connect residents with city resources. I would encourage voluntary neighborhood civic associations that operate like HOAs without mandatory dues or fees, fostering unity, accountability, and neighbors helping neighbors. These networks could coordinate voluntary assistance for residents who are elderly, ill, or experiencing difficulties maintaining their properties. I would also establish citizen advisory committees, including a Budget Review Committee to promote transparency and responsible spending. Additionally, I would explore a Property Lien Prevention and Assistance Committee

In my first 60 days, my immediate focus will be on restoring ethics to City Hall and launching critical safety updates that do not require long legislative delays.Reversing Government Excess: I will immediately introduce an ordinance to roll back the controversial 2025 mayoral and commission salary hikes to a standard baseline matching cities our size, completely abolish the $30,000 individual discretionary funds, and slash the car allowance. To lead by example, I will legally waive my own mayoral salary and redirect 100% of my compensation directly into local infrastructure and youth programs.Rapid Infrastructure and Safety Audit: I will launch an immediate, 60-day review of North Lauderdale’s neighborhood lighting and localized flooding h
As Mayor, my first priority will be to officially ratify Broward County's Solid Waste Authority 40-Year Master Plan to combine our municipal purchasing power, stabilize utility rates, and aggressively tackle waste at the source. Here is how our city will actively solve this through the lens of reduction, recycling, and reuse:Reduction: We will launch a comprehensive residential composting and organic diversion program. Because food and yard debris make up a massive percentage of our garbage, diverting these organics into mulch and agricultural soil will immediately shrink the tonnage we send to county landfills.Recycling: We must tackle the 39% recycling contamination rate that currently skyrockets processing fees across South Florida. As an attorney, I know how to use local ordinances to create real, legally sound solutions without straining our city budget. Here is how our city will tackle the housing crisis through strong policy and county partnership:Enact Inclusionary Zoning Ordinances: We will mandate that any new multi-family residential developments set aside a specific percentage of units for affordable workforce housing, ensuring our teachers, first responders, and service workers can afford to live in North Lauderdale.Leverage County and State Funds: We must aggressively pursue Broward County's Housing Trust Fund and Florida’s Sadowski Act funding to subsidize local rehabilitation projects, helping long-time residents upgrade their homes and keep their current h
Protect Core Public Safety First: Fire rescue, water infrastructure, and law enforcement are completely non-negotiable and will be protected at all costs.Target Political Perks and Administration: Before a single public service is touched, we will cut from the top. I will eliminate the commission's $30,000 individual discretionary funds, slash car allowances, and use the savings from my waived mayoral salary to bridge the gap.Conduct a Core-Function Audit: Any further reductions will be based strictly on a data-driven audit, identifying underutilized programs and administrative redundancies rather than cutting vital community services.Ideas to Make Up the Budget ShortfallExpand the Commercial Tax Base: We will streamline our permitting proc
Here is my plan to actively engage our community and build true unity:Launch "Mayor’s Night In" and Mobile Town Halls: I will establish monthly evening hours at City Hall and rotate town hall meetings across different neighborhoods, ensuring working parents and residents without easy transportation can speak with me directly.Create Multilingual Advisory Boards: North Lauderdale is beautifully diverse. We will form community advisory panels that reflect our population—including our vibrant Haitian-American and Hispanic communities—so every culture has a seat at the table when planning our future.Establish a "Community First" Digital Portal: We will implement an easy-to-use mobile app and texting system allowing residents to vote on community
