1.Reaching out to public to make sure they are heard. I will do this with a 2x monthly Town Hall meeting, and by walking the streets which I do every morning with my dog. 2. Making sure city staff does good "research" and more importantly the "math" before anything reaches council. I am a "research guy" and "math guy" therefore I plan to do my own research and math so I have a baseline to evaluate staffs. 3. To bring a new voice to the table - in what I call the Fifth Seat. The current council looks interchangeable most of the time. I am not your normal candidate and will hopefully push my fellow council people to look at things a bit differently.
Experience? I'm "vintage." I lived in Aspen Colorado for 14 years serving on the Commercial Core and Lodging Commission, chairing it for a number of years. Our job focused on tourism, events, dinning, and everything about the downtown area. I also did a TV show for 10 years, 3000+ interviews. We focused on local matters but because it was Aspen I have the opportunity to interview a number of celebrities, politicians, writers, and many others who came to Aspen to lecture or perform. What I am saying is the I know how to ask questions... good questions... and know how to drill down when necessary. I believe the ability to ask good questions is a skill - and most people in city government are not very good at it.

My top priorities are rooted in protecting what makes Beverly Hills exceptional while planning responsibly for the future.

1. Keeping Beverly Hills Safe Public safety is my highest priority. I will continue supporting our police and fire departments, investing in advanced technology, and ensuring rapid response times. Our proactive approach has led to measurable reductions in crime, and I remain committed to keeping our neighborhoods, businesses, and public spaces safe.

2. Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency We must continue to manage our city’s finances responsibly. I have worked to strengthen our financial position while maintaining essential services. I will continue to prioritize balanced budgets, transparency, and smart investments that protect our long-term financial stability without burdening residents.

3. Planning for the Future While Preserving Our Character Beverly Hills faces increasing pressure from state housing mandates and regional growth. I am committed to thoughtful, well-planned development that respects our neighborhoods, protects our quality of life, and ensures infrastructure keeps pace. This includes strategic planning around the Metro expansion, supporting local businesses, and maintaining the unique character of our city.

These priorities reflect my commitment to leadership that is practical, focused, and always centered on the needs of our residents.

I have called Beverly Hills my home for over three decades and I am married to my wonderful husband Daniel for over 30 years, and proud mother of three adult sons.

After completing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I wanted to give back to our great city by getting more involved in our community. I have 30+ years of experience in civic service.

Currently, I am the Mayor of Beverly Hills. My previous roles include serving as Past Chairperson and Commissioner of the Beverly Hills Human Relations and Public Works Commissioner as well as Los Angeles County Commissioner and Chair for Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Member of the Beverly Hills Police Chief’s Advisory Board. Over the past several years, I’ve worked to strengthen public safety, maintain fiscal discipline, and support our local businesses while protecting the exceptional quality of life that defines Beverly Hills. Crime has declined by nearly 20%, and we’ve implemented advanced public safety tools like the Real Time Watch Center, along with strengthening partnerships with our police and fire departments.

I am running for re-election because there is still important work ahead. Our city is facing complex challenges from state housing mandates to Metro expansion. Beverly Hills needs steady, thoughtful leadership that will protect our neighborhoods, support our economy, and plan responsibly for the future.
