I have served as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles County for over 20 years, handling thousands of cases across a wide range of assignments. My experience includes prosecuting serious and violent crimes, as well as working extensively with diversion programs, mental health courts, and veterans’ treatment courts. This breadth of experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of how the justice system impacts individuals, families, and communities.

I spent nearly a decade assigned to Long Beach and about eight years in Compton, fighting for justice in some of the most underserved communities in our county. Throughout my career, I have worked to ensure accountability at all levels, including holding law enforcement to the same standards of integrity required in the courtroom, even when it came at personal cost.

I will always fight for what is right. My experience and commitment to fairness, due process, and equal application of the law have prepared me to serve as a judge who ensures every person is treated with dignity and respect.
Los Angeles County courts are staffed by dedicated judges and professionals who work hard to ensure fairness and due process. Programs such as diversion, mental health, and veterans’ courts are strong examples of how the system can address underlying issues while promoting accountability and better outcomes.

At the same time, there is room for improvement. Reducing unnecessary delays, expanding access to justice, and ensuring greater consistency and transparency are critical. Equally important is building and restoring trust between the public and the justice system, so that all community members feel confident they are being treated fairly. Continued focus on efficiency, fairness, and accountability will help ensure the courts serve everyone effectively.
