Los Angeles is in crisis, but politicians keep lying. As a reform and human rights advocate and activist, I have spent my entire life monitoring the government system and identifying violations of human rights, both internationally and domestically.
For decades, people have continued to vote for corrupt politicians because of promises. But as soon as these politicians are elected, they forget those promises. This cycle has continued for more than 30 years. Politicians often have more power than voters, and even the recall system is almost impossible to use to remove politicians from office when they lie or fail to do the job they promised.
I have dedicated my life to fighting corruption and negligence while advocating strong reforms in our government system to reduce bureaucracy, corruption, and inefficiency. When powerful people have money and control others who serve their interests, corruption and negligence will continue to affect all of us. This will never end unless we reform the system and give local residents real power to hold politicians accountable.
That is exactly what I intend to do. We cannot keep waiting. We must take control and lead in the right direction. Simply replacing politicians who continue to lie will not solve our current or future problems.
For more than 100 years we have faced these issues. Corruption, money, and powerful special-interest billionaires try to control government and influence taxes to benefit themselves. Our government system is broken and too often works only for billionaires rather than for local residents.
Changing politicians alone does not fix the problem because the system itself is broken. It is like having an old broken car: if you keep replacing the driver but the car itself is broken, it will never run smoothly. That is exactly what is happening with our government. Need changes NOW!

My name is Carmenlina Minasova Minasyan , and I am running for help Los Angeles—not simply to replace the current politicians, but to tell the truth about what is really happening in our cities.
Los Angeles is in crisis, and politicians keep lie. We need to ask a serious question: what is the difference between criminals and politicians? Criminals commit crimes to survive, but many politicians take from the public through higher taxes and spend taxpayer money without proper accountability. So who is really serving the people?
Elections in Los Angeles have become disconnected from the majority of residents. Only about 30% of people vote, often those already connected to the system, while 70% feel ignored and lose trust. When people stop believing in elections, democracy becomes weak—and that is dangerous for everyone.
We also see decisions being made for political gain instead of truth. Accusations are sometimes used without full investigation, and even important historical legacies—like Cesar Chavez—become part of political narratives during election cycles. We have seen situations where claims are amplified before facts are fully established, including involving vulnerable individuals. This is what too often happens in politics during election time.
This is not leadership. This is politics without responsibility.
I also want to take a moment to remember my friend, Richard Serrano, who recently passed away. He was someone who truly cared about people and consistently stepped forward to serve the community. It is a loss when dedicated, good individuals are no longer with us, while those who do not serve the public interest remain in power. Too many people feel abandoned by the system—and that must change.
