Marin County Supervisor, District 1
Then Marin County Board of Supervisors serves as the legislative and executive body of Marin County. Supervisors are elected by district to serve a four-year term. The Board of Supervisors has the overall responsibility for the function of county government. The Board serves as the governing board of many special districts such as Marin County Open Space District, Marin Transit, and the Marin Housing Authority. The Board passes all ordinances governing the county and is responsible for seeing that mandated functions are properly discharged. The Board adopts the County budget, sets employee salaries, and directs a wide variety of services to county residents.
