Dr. Scott engages 100% of his classroom and get RESULTS. He founded Irvine International Academy (IIA) after decades of success in inner-city San Bernardino. By its third year, IIA was a 2024 California Distinguished School, top school in Southern California and, 14th out of 5,800 schools.

Dr. Scott created education and business policies, wrote student & employee hand-books. He also directed HR, budget and operations, pupil services, special education, and state testing.

Results come from experience. Dr. Scott has been a public school Superintendent, Principal, Inner-city Teacher, and Professor. He traveled internationally speaking on improving education.

Beijing Normal University recognized him "Foreign Speaker of the Year." For years he was an adjunct professor of Christian Ministries at California Baptist University and adjunct professor of Education at National University.

Moody Press of Chicago published his software for nonprofits the Master Series Accounting Software. That included General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.

He authored One to One Classrooms Inspire Creative Problem Solvers®. He celebrates 47 years of marriage with 8 children who attended public, charter, private schools, and homeschool. All graduated college by scholarships and with honors.

Protect public education and its teachers

Bring in more Career Technical Education (CTE) programs as well as more trade school offering (partner with local unions)

Ensure students from underserved communities, i.e Black and Brown communities are not getting harsher punishments. Disrupt the school to prison pipeline.

To achieve educational excellence for students, the Riverside County Board of Education must be governed in a systematic and practical manner. To that end, a Trustee needs experience in assessing and finding solutions to address issues.

As an engineer by trade, that is what I do. When I am elected, I will be the only engineer on the Board and I will bring that problem-solving background to the position.

I will ensure our schools are provided sufficient funding, while holding the school districts fiscally responsible, giving teachers the space they need and parents a sense of security, knowing their children are receiving quality education in a safe environment.

A Trustee also needs a strong background in working with students and families. As a founder of an educational nonprofit, I have mentored and tutored students and having served on several boards, I have the experience in governance, compliance and strategic planning.

In sum, a practical approach, coupled with an extensive understanding of working with students is what makes me the best candidate for the Board.
