My top priority is putting people over politics. For too long, our community has been overlooked while special interests have taken priority. That needs to change. I am running to make sure everyday residents, not lobbyists or insiders, are the focus of decision-making in Sacramento.
First, I will prioritize expanding access to affordable, high-quality healthcare. That means protecting and strengthening Medi-Cal, supporting veterans and seniors, and ensuring every resident can get the care they need without financial hardship.
Second, I will stand firmly for human rights. LGBTQ+ rights, immigrants’ rights, and women’s rights are fundamental, and I will work to protect and advance them at the state level. Everyone deserves dignity, safety, and equal opportunity under the law.
Third, I will fight to build an economy that works for everyone. Too many Californians are being priced out of their own communities. I will focus on lowering the cost of living, supporting good-paying jobs, and advancing a fair tax system that helps working families get ahead.
I bring a combination of lived experience, professional expertise, and community advocacy that has prepared me to serve effectively. I grew up in a working-class family where my mother worked multiple jobs to support me and my younger brother. That experience shaped my understanding of the challenges facing everyday families and drives my commitment to putting people first.
I graduated summa cum laude from Babson College and built a career as a software engineer, working with major companies including Sony Pictures, Toyota, Pioneer Electronics, and Twentieth Century Fox. I have also worked with the cities of Los Angeles and Santa Monica, giving me firsthand insight into how government operates and how it can better serve residents.
Today, I own a small business providing software engineering services, which has given me a practical understanding of the challenges facing entrepreneurs, workers, and our local economy. Alongside my professional work, I have remained actively engaged in my community through advocacy and volunteer efforts focused on underserved populations. I am running to bring a problem-solving mindset, real-world experience, and a strong commitment to responsive, people-focused leadership to this office.
Yes. I support laws that expand the supply of affordable housing for middle- and low-income Californians, because the housing crisis is one of the most urgent challenges facing our state. We need to increase housing production at all income levels while ensuring that new development includes meaningful affordability requirements. That includes streamlining responsible housing projects, investing in affordable and workforce housing, and strengthening partnerships with local governments to meet regional housing needs.
We must also protect renters and prevent displacement by promoting stability through tenant protections, anti-gouging measures, and programs that help first-time homebuyers access the market. Addressing this crisis also means tackling the root causes of high costs, including outdated zoning, lengthy permitting processes, and infrastructure gaps. I will work to modernize these systems so we can build more housing faster and more efficiently without sacrificing community input or environmental standards. California cannot thrive if working families cannot afford to live here, and I am committed to advancing balanced, practical solutions that expand access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.
Supporting young, low-income Californians requires a comprehensive approach that invests in students from early childhood through higher education while addressing the real barriers they face outside the classroom. That starts with ensuring early learning programs, including expanded pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten, are fully funded, accessible, and implemented effectively so every child enters school ready to learn and succeed.
Across our K–12 system, we need to make sure schools serving underserved communities have the resources necessary to provide a high-quality education. That includes investing in qualified teachers, modern facilities, and up-to-date materials, along with expanding after-school and summer programs that offer academic support, enrichment, and safe environments for students whose families are working hard to make ends meet. Access to tutoring, free meals, and extracurricular opportunities plays a critical role in closing achievement gaps and keeping students engaged.
We also need to strengthen pathways beyond high school. Expanding access to financial aid can make college more attainable, while improving career technical education and workforce training programs gives students practical options for good-paying jobs. Strengthening on-campus support systems helps first-generation college students, foster youth, and others navigate higher education and complete their degrees.
Addressing basic needs is essential to student success. Students cannot learn effectively if they are worried about housing, food, or their mental health. Ensuring access to counseling services, stable housing resources, and reliable technology helps create the conditions students need to focus and thrive. I am committed to advancing solutions that expand opportunity, reduce inequities, and support students at every stage of their educational journey.
Meeting the water needs of all Californians requires a balanced, long-term approach that prioritizes reliability, sustainability, and equity. I support investing in water infrastructure to modernize delivery systems, repair aging pipelines, expand storage capacity, and increase groundwater recharge and stormwater capture so we make better use of the water we already have.
California must also diversify its water supply to reduce vulnerability to drought and climate change. Expanding water recycling and reuse, supporting responsible desalination where appropriate, and investing in local and regional water resilience projects will help ensure communities are less dependent on imported water sources while strengthening long-term stability.
Protecting our natural resources is essential to maintaining a sustainable water system. Healthy watersheds, rivers, and ecosystems play a critical role in water quality and supply, and I support efforts that preserve these resources while balancing the needs of communities and agriculture. Our agricultural sector is a key part of California’s economy, and supporting water-efficient practices and innovation will help farmers remain productive while using resources more sustainably.
Access to safe, clean, and affordable drinking water must be a priority for every community. Too many Californians, especially in disadvantaged and rural areas, still lack reliable access. I support targeted investments and technical assistance to ensure no community is left behind. California’s water challenges require practical, science-based solutions, and I am committed to advancing policies that secure a reliable and equitable water future for all.
