City of Fresno City Council Member, District 5
The Fresno City Council is the legislative body of the city of Fresno. Their powers and duties are subject to the Ralph M. Brown Act and include the consideration of land use decisions, reviewing and approving the annual City budget ($2.36 billion for the fiscal year 2026), and other actions taken by ordinance, resolution, etc. at publicly noticed City Council Meetings. The seven Council members are elected to four-year terms and there is a limit of two consecutive terms.
