Fresno County Supervisor, District 1

The County of Fresno government is defined and authorized under the CaliforniaConstitution, law, and the Charter of the County of Fresno and provides the following countywideservices: elections, voter registration, law enforcement, jails, vital records, property records, tax collection, public health and social services.The Board of Supervisors acts as both the legislative and executive authority for the county government. The Board enacts ordinances and resolutions, adopts the annual budget, approves contracts, appropriates funds, determines land use zoning for the unincorporated areas, as well as appoints certain County officers and members of various boards and commissions. The five members serve four-year terms and are elected by the residents of their respective districts.
