We need to hold the Trump Administration accountable while also solving the issues we are all facing in our everyday lives.
The current Congress has completely abdicated its responsibility to be an equal branch of government. Right now flipping the House is critical to provide some form of accountability to the current Administration and restore our checks and balances.
Affordability. As a mom of two, I fully understand the challenges of balancing work & family while navigating inflation and the rising cost of living. I’m a pragmatic, common sense leader who looks for common ground to work with people to make life better for all of us. I will pursue policies in Congress that will help bring down costs for families in New Jersey. I have put together a robust policy platform addressing these issues with concrete solutions:
On Energy: tinyurl.com/RB4CFightRecordEnergyCosts
On Housing: tinyurl.com/RB4CSolveOurHousingCrisis
On Families: tinyurl.com/RB4CPuttingNJ07FamiliesFirst
Families are suffering across this district as a result of the cuts in the OBBB and the failure to extend the ACA subsidies.
To lower energy costs, I will fight to modernize our grid, and invest in reliable renewable energy. I will also push for stronger consumer protections, transparency and accountability with grid management companies so families across NJ-07 aren’t hit with sudden spikes on their utility bills.
On housing, I will focus on increasing supply and reducing the barriers that are driving up costs. This means ending the Trump trade war on day 1 that is driving up the cost of housing. We also need to support first-time homebuyers and expand access to portable mortgages to make it easier for people to downsize.
To support families, I will fight to cap child care costs at 7% of income and use tax credits to cover the difference for families. I will also fight for 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave, paid sick leave, and universal pre-k.
When I got out of the military, I wanted to continue to serve to make lives better for people. I worked in the healthcare sector including in women’s health, obesity, and gastrointestinal care, to increase access to care for patients, increase quality and drive down costs.
Tom Kean Jr. has raised healthcare costs on millions of Americans at a time when everything else is also getting more expensive. All to pay for tax breaks to billionaires. We need to undo these disastrous Medicaid cuts and extend the ACA subsidies so that working families can actually afford healthcare. We also need to focus on mental health parity to ensure that folks are able to get coverage for those services in the same way they can get physical care. Mental healthcare is healthcare.
I also support a public option for healthcare, because everyone should get to choose if they want to stay on their current insurance plan, or buy into a public option that may reduce costs for them.
I support comprehensive immigration reform that secures our border and provides a path to citizenship for those here. We also must legally codify the status of Dreamers and give them a path to citizenship. Instead this President is deporting people who followed all of the rules and even sending back those who were granted entry into this country because they protected American soldiers aboard. We also need to ensure that agents are no longer allowed to wear masks, go without identification or body cameras, and enter homes without judicial warrants.
My position is simple: the decision to have a child is one of the most personal decisions someone can make, and it should be made by a woman, in consultation with her healthcare professional, not by politicians.
I support restoring the protections of Roe v. Wade at the federal level so that every woman in this country has the right to access abortion care, regardless of where she lives. Right now, we have a patchwork of laws that depend on your zip code, and that is not acceptable. Basic healthcare rights shouldn’t change when you cross a state line.
More broadly, reproductive healthcare includes access to contraception, IVF, maternal care, and the ability to receive safe, evidence-based medical treatment. I will fight to protect and expand access to all of it.
As a mom of two daughters, this is deeply personal to me. I refuse to accept a future where they have fewer rights than I did. When the system fails you, you don’t just accept it, you step up and fix it.
Strengthening climate resilience is about protecting people, lowering long-term costs, and ensuring our communities can withstand what’s already happening, not just what’s coming next.
First, we must harden infrastructure by investing in flood mitigation, stormwater systems, grid modernization, and resilient transportation. We’ve seen how extreme storms damage homes and businesses. Federal funding must upgrade aging systems while creating good-paying union jobs.
Second, we need to protect neighborhoods directly by helping homeowners retrofit or elevate homes, strengthening building codes, and investing in natural defenses like wetlands.
Third, we must shift how we fund disasters, prioritizing prevention over costly rebuilding.
Fourth, investing in clean, domestic energy strengthens grid reliability, lowers costs, and creates economic opportunity.
Finally, better coordination across federal, state, and local levels will ensure faster access to funding and more effective responses.
The President has attacked our electoral system again and again, most recently through an executive order designed to make it harder to vote and by backing the SAVE Act, which would impose new documentation requirements and create additional barriers for eligible voters—particularly seniors, students, and women. These measures risk disenfranchising lawful voters under the guise of election security.
Our Congressman has been silent as President Trump continues to do nearly everything in his power to undermine faith in our electoral process. Instead of speaking out against policies that could make it harder for eligible Americans to participate, he has failed to defend the integrity and accessibility of our elections. We need leaders who will stand up for the right to vote, ensure we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and support the dedicated, often thankless volunteers who make our elections possible, not leaders who stay quiet and spread false claims about the 2020 election.

Our economy is rigged against working families. Corporations and billionaires make an obscene amount of profits and use those profits to buy off our politicians so they pass a corporate agenda, deregulating parts of their business to grow while regulating parts of their business to make it impossible for small businesses to compete with the regulatory costs. I will fight to unrig our economy which includes:
- Ending Citizens United and getting billionaire and corporate money out of our politics
- Passing real anti-trust laws that regulate companies to stop healthcare and tech companies from maximizing profit off of our health and the hate and division they are causing
- Rewriting the tax code for the working- and middle-class and ensuring billionaires and corporations pay their fair share
I have spent my entire career in service to make life more affordable and provide more opportunity to folks in New Jersey and across the country, and that is exactly what I would do once elected. Here’s what I will focus on in the first two years:
- Building a 21st century economy with six figure jobs here in New Jersey
- Making housing affordable for all generations
- Driving down energy costs and transitioning to a clean energy future
- Making healthcare more accessible and affordable
- Rewriting the tax code for working families
I am ready on Day One to lead on all these priorities because I’ve successfully done it before. At the U.S. Small Business Administration, I saved millions of jobs. I led a nonprofit that brought together 26 U.S. Senators and invested in housing for thousands of families. I led a company hired by governors and mayors to strengthen their economies. I’m not running for Congress to learn how it works, I’m running because I know how to make it work for us.
I support universal healthcare because healthcare should be a human right, not a privilege tied to your job, income, marital status, or zip code. My preferred approach is to move decisively toward universal coverage through a strong public option, while restoring and expanding healthcare supports that have been cut. That means restoring healthcare subsidies, protecting Medicare and Medicaid from cuts, and ensuring every American has access to affordable coverage regardless of employment.
We also need to lower costs. I support allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, capping out-of-pocket costs, and pursuing strong antitrust action against hospital consolidation and Pharmacy Benefit Managers that drive up prices.
Finally, I support shifting toward outcomes-based payment models that reward prevention, primary care, mental health, addiction treatment, and better patient outcomes.
And I will never take a dollar from healthcare corporate PACs or lobbyists.
I support comprehensive immigration reform that creates a secure, orderly system rooted in human dignity. That means expanded legal pathways tied to real workforce needs, an earned path to legal status for long-term undocumented immigrants, protection for Dreamers and TPS holders, a functioning asylum system with more judges and faster processing, and border security without cruelty. Trump’s ICE must be defunded and dismantled and replaced with a new agency in the DOJ independent from the President. Enforcement should focus on violent criminals and traffickers, not families, workers, or people seeking safety. Federal immigration enforcement must be subject to constitutional limits, transparency, and accountability. State and local governments should not be forced to act as extensions of abusive federal enforcement, and they should be free to prioritize public safety, due process, and community trust.
I strongly support access to abortion, contraception, IVF, and the full range of reproductive healthcare. These decisions belong with patients and their doctors, not politicians. When I was at the SBA, I fought Trump’s policy and made sure Planned Parenthood clinics received federal funding on my first day in government. In Congress, I would support codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law, protecting privacy and data rights, expanding telehealth, and ensuring federal funding for clinics and providers like Planned Parenthood so care is available regardless of zip code. The federal government must protect reproductive freedom nationwide and stop political interference in care. I would also defend privacy and data protections so no one can be tracked or prosecuted for seeking healthcare.
The climate crisis is already here, and New Jersey families are paying the price through flooding, high utility bills, unsafe drinking water, and pollution. In NJ-07, nearly half our towns have reported PFAS contamination, and New Jersey has the most Superfund sites in the country. I’ve worked across the country to build clean energy projects that lower costs, create jobs, and strengthen competitiveness. In Congress, I will fight to restore and expand clean energy tax credits, invest in modern energy infrastructure, restore FEMA flood mitigation funding, strengthen stormwater and river management to reduce flooding, ensure continued PFAS testing and clean water funding, and clean up Superfund sites by making corporate polluters pay. We can protect our communities, lower costs, and grow New Jersey’s economy at the same time.
I support a full democracy agenda that makes voting easier and elections fairer. That includes passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act, establishing automatic and same-day voter registration, expanding early voting and vote-by-mail, protecting election workers, and banning voter intimidation. I oppose documentary proof-of-citizenship schemes like the SAVE Act that would disenfranchise eligible voters. To restore trust, we also need fair district maps, stronger oversight when states suppress or dilute the vote, restoration of voting rights for people who have completed felony sentences, and campaign finance reform to reduce the power of dark money. Democracy works better when access is broad, rules are fair, and people know billionaires are not buying the outcome.
