The most important issue to me is making sure we balance our priorities with the resources we have. That means supporting our teachers and staff with competitive pay, maintaining and improving our school facilities, and keeping student learning at the center of every decision.

You can’t ignore one without impacting the others. Great teachers need good environments, and students benefit most when both are strong. The reality is, we don’t have unlimited funding, so every dollar has to be spent thoughtfully and transparently.

I believe in steady, common-sense leadership that focuses on what matters most—doing right by our students, supporting our educators, and being responsible with taxpayer dollars.
I believe it starts with respect. I make it a priority to listen to all stakeholders—parents, teachers, staff, and community members—and treat every perspective with professionalism, even when we don’t agree.

We can’t keep going down an “us vs. them” path, especially in a politically divided county like ours. When that happens, good ideas too often die on the vine simply because of who brought them forward, not because of their merit.

My approach is to stay focused on the issue, not the individual, and to look for common ground. If we keep students at the center and commit to working together, we can move forward in the same direction as a community.

The most important issue in this race is ensuring that the voices of District 3 voters are truly heard and represented. My platform stands on INCLUSIVITY, UNITY, SAFETY, and HUMANITY. I am committed to fighting for others and fighting for what’s right, every single day.

There are many issues affecting public education in Sumner County, and those issues impact individuals and families in different ways across District 3. Because of that, I do not believe in prioritizing one issue over another. Every issue matters, just as every voice in District 3 matters.
I will work with all stakeholders across the county by making decisions through a collaborative, solution-focused process. I will demonstrate “Advocacy in Action” by leveraging my 20+ years of child welfare experience to serve students, parents, and school staff throughout Sumner County.

I am committed to working alongside stakeholders to ensure that every decision is grounded in research and best practices, not simply what feels good or maintains the status quo. With a Master of Social Work, a Master of Public Administration, and current doctoral studies in Public Policy and Administration, collaboration is not just a strategy, it is fundamental to who I am.
