MONTANA SENATE DISTRICT 6
State Senator – the office of state senator serves in the Montana legislature’s upper house. There are 50 senators who are elected from districts made up of two House districts. Senators are elected to 4-year terms which are staggered so that half are elected every two years. Senators propose and vote on proposed laws during the legislative sessions that meet for 90 days in odd-numbered years, and provide oversight of state agencies and study issues through interim committees that meet between sessions. Senators are limited to two consecutive 4-year terms.

Q1. Please briefly provide the following information: place (town or county and state) of birth, age as of election day 2026, place (town or county) of permanent residency, occupation/employer, and education. How do these and your other life experiences qualify you to be an effective Legislator?

Q3. What economic policies will you pursue to help Americans who are concerned about their economic prospects in the coming years, including the cost of medical insurance and care?
Q4. What measures do you support to ensure Montana elections are secure while facilitating the ability of all eligible voters to cast their ballots? What, if anything, should the state government do to reduce the role of money in American elections?
Born Lemoore, CA. 63 years old. Retired, US Navy. Education: BSc (Nursing) 1997. MS (Nursing) , Post Master Certificate (Emergency Nurse Practitioner (2008). US Navy Reserve (1992-1999). US Navy (2000-2025). I served in the US military from 1992-2025. I completed deployments to Afghanistan, Cuba, and South/Central America. I served in assignments, from Staff Nurse to Hospital Commander. I served under 6 Presidents, 8 duty stations, including Italy and Guam. I worked as a civilian nurse , a contractor, and built production sailboats My diverse, worldwide experience gives me unique perspective of various lifestyles and challenges facing families in America. I am proud to have worked with many high-performing teams during my career.
1. The rising costs of healthcare and housing are negatively impacting the health and safety of working families. I will work to cretae legislation to regulate these costs and create more opportunities for the most vulnerable.
2. Voter suppression: I will not tolerate actions that reduce the ability for anyone to exercise their right to vote. The US has the most secure elections in the world. The Constitution expressly reserves the management of elections to the States: I will defend that responsibility.
There are many State-level interventions that can assist the most vulnerable in society to access health and housing: Reinsurance programs, first-time homebuyer programs for instance. I intend to work with anyone who offers pathways and assistance to those populations
I support the Transparent Election Initiative (The Montana Plan). This initiative seeks to eliminate the influence of "dark" money in Montana. As we plan campaign engagements we will seek to educate voters about the plan and support inclusion of the Plan on the ballot in November. I will not accept corporate donations or outside PAC donations.
