I was born and raised in Montana and will be 41 on Election Day 2026. I live in Livingston and work as a law enforcement officer, with prior service as a firefighter and EMT. I hold a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. I have spent my life in public service, from Eagle Scout to my current role, working on the front lines of public safety, mental health, addiction, and the financial strain on working families. As a working class Montanan, I live with the same challenges as the people I represent. My experience making decisions under pressure, applying the law, and working with people in crisis has prepared me to bring practical, common sense leadership to Helena.
Affordability is the most important issue facing Montana. Rising property taxes, overall tax burden, and inflation driven by government spending are putting real pressure on working families. My top priority is making Montana more affordable by ensuring disciplined and efficient government spending. Without controlling spending, tax relief is temporary. From there, I support fair and transparent tax policies that reduce the burden on Montanans. I will strengthen our economy by supporting farms, ranches, and small businesses, the backbone of our communities. I oppose large data center developments that consume significant resources while providing limited long term benefit to Montanans.
I will focus on lowering costs by addressing the root drivers, government spending, regulation, and lack of competition. I support reducing unnecessary mandates and increasing price transparency in healthcare so patients can make informed decisions. Expanding competition, including telehealth and cross state access where appropriate, can help lower insurance and care costs. I will also support policies that strengthen small businesses, farms, and local economies, since stable jobs and income are the foundation of economic security. The goal is simple, make it easier to afford care, not more complicated.
I believe voters must have confidence in secure elections while ensuring every eligible voter can participate. I support strong voter ID and accurate voter rolls, which are essential to maintaining trust in the system. Voter rolls should be regularly updated and verified so that elections are both fair and credible. I also support secure early voting and absentee options that are reliable and consistent across the state. The goal is simple, every legal vote counted and the process trusted by the public. On money in elections, I support clear disclosure and believe elections should be decided by Montanans, not out of state interests.
