I was Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, raised in the West and been a Montana resident for over 30 years. I am 61 years old, a self-employed attorney practicing in Bozeman and have served this community as the Chief Civil Deputy County Attorney for over 15 of those years. I attended UM, University of California, Santa Cruz and Gonzaga. I have been active in the community through numerous non-profit boards and am a stand-by judge in Belgrade.

I can be effective through 35 years of experience in state and local politics as an attorney. Public and private practice allows me to advocate for clients or make decisions based on laws created by legislatures, draft laws and lobby for legislation. This gives me a big head start to represent HD 61.
1) Protecting Health Care for all of us who have paid for it all of our lives. 2) Watching out for give aways to special interests which will raise our costs of living and housing. 3) Standing up for Montana's public education system and making sure those who work in that system are treated right. 4) Defending against the partisan raids on the Montana court system and maintaining checks and balances.
Working Montanans consistently and unduly overpay for living in our state. Fighting attempts to further decrease medical coverages and raise costs by vested interests will be a priority for me.

Events and decisions in Washington DC flow down hill to the states. Deflection of federal budget priorities eliminate support for Medicare and Medicaid which in turn will burden the Montana budget. These events effect all working Montanans from Bozeman to Broadus and we need to reset the funding essential governmental services to get results and not funnel hard earned dollars to out of state interests.
I will be highly skeptical of any proposed changes to the Montana election system. Our election system has been altered enough in previous legislative sessions. We should all be keenly aware and scrutinize any attempts to change it further.

I fully support the "Montana Plan" to limit corporate money in elections. I am optimistic that it will get on the ballot and win in November. Part of the Plan is to have the legislature implement parts of the changes in the next session and I look forward to fighting hard against any attempts to water it down.

Born in Bottineau County, ND, I permanently reside in Bozeman, Montana. I will be 49 for the general election.

I hold a B.S. in Bioresource Research with a soil science minor and a Master’s of Urban and Regional Planning providing a solid foundation in land use, agriculture, and housing.

I work as a Senior Resource Analyst – Wind Energy for Innergex Renewable Energy, I have extensive experience in energy policy, grid reliability, and responsible development, central to Montana’s future.

My interests are numerous: skiing, politics, hiking, camping, and my primary love is fly-fishing – activities that tie me directly to Montana’s outdoor economy. They also speak to my well rounded and relatable personality.
High housing costs are Montana's top issue, affecting recruitment and retention of necessary workforce. I support repealing the 2021 ban on inclusionary zoning so cities have all tools at their disposal. I will propose innovative ways to subsidize affordable workforce housing.

Montana needs universal healthcare. Until then, we should expand access and reduce costs using the state's budget surplus to help residents stay insured through the Affordable Care Act and expanded Medicaid.

Regulating data centers is crucial to prevent rising costs for residents. I will promulgate legislation that strictly regulates the terms of data center development. I will also encourage renewable energy growth - the cheapest way to meet rising energy demands.
The Homestead Tax Exemption helps homeowners, but renters are left out. I plan to introduce legislation for a tax rebate for renters with household incomes below 1.2 times the state median.

Healthcare is a basic human right. The US spends twice as much per person on healthcare as any developed nation. We must use our budget surplus to improve access to physical and mental care and reduce unnecessary red tape.

Montana has some of the best wind, solar and geothermal in the country. I will promote policies to encourage their development and strengthen our transmission network. This means good paying jobs and higher tax revenues in rural communities, and lower energy costs. Wind and solar are the cheapest sources of energy. End stop.
First, we must not give a platform to conspiracy theories about wide spread voter fraud. Montana already runs some of the most secure and accessible elections in the country. We need to continue to protect early voting, absentee voting and same-day voter registration.

Many counties are under-resourced. We need to ensure funding for staff, training, and cybersecurity protections. We face technological challenges from AI that need to be considered in voting systems and must continue to use paper ballots for back up.

Montana I-194 is a great test for getting big money out of state politics. I fully support this initiative. Montanans have a long history of pushing back against outside money and influence. Let's continue that record!
