I’m a Billings native and will be 43 on Election Day. I’m a University of Montana Griz, class of 2007 and my degree is in Cell and Molecular Biology.
I currently serve the city of Billings in an advisory capacity as a member of the Community Development Board. Our board is focused on federal HUD funding allocations in Billings. I have served since 2017 and as the Chair for the years 2019-2024. My leadership through COVID was described as visionary by city staff. Our board was able to guide city staff’s implementation of COVID era funding in ways that invested in many parks in low income areas throughout the city.
I’ve demonstrated my ability to make thoughtful decisions and be an effective advocate.
I work at Costco. I’m a wife and mom.
The issues that I care the most about are adequate, equitable funding for public education and healthcare, and access to public lands while maintaining a healthy environment.
Without federal support Montana must prioritize the health of our aging population. I will advocate for fully funding Medicare and HMK.
Legislating in the age of Held v. MT is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of conservation in our state. We can continue our commitment to care for our land, water, and air quality.
Artificial intelligence and data centers are going to take up much of the conversation this session. We must ensure this new industry does not harm our environment and viewscapes while consuming outsized amounts of resources.
I will advocate for fully funding Medicare expansion in the absence of federal matches. Healthcare is not a privilege for the gainfully employed, it is a human right that all Montanans should have access to.
I’ve enjoyed the convenience of voting absentee for many years in Montana. Montana elections are secure. The manufactured crisis in the name of election security is a move to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters across the country.
I support the work done by the Transparent Election Initiative and the Montana Plan to get corporate donations out of our politics. I have already signed I-194.
