I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and am 29 years old. I live in Eureka, Montana and work in construction at Miller Drywall, I was homeschooled in the woods, and I am slowly chipping away at community college courses. My experiences growing up in and leaving the right wing militia movement, and as a working Gen Z adult in Lincoln County trying to build a life, have prepared me for the dark and divided moment we are in now. I understand political extremism, the struggles young people in Montana are dealing with today, and the need for bold actions and leaders who will stand up for the freedom and prosperity of regular people in this state.
The most important issues for Montanans today are the housing crisis and government overreach. Our state is being drowned in out of state money, and infringed upon by Federal and private surveillance attempting to enforce out-of-state laws against the bodily autonomy of Montanans and profit off their private data. I will start work immediately on fixing our broken and unfair property tax system, reigning in corporate mass surveillance to keep private and Federal agencies out of Montanans private lives, restore local autonomy by repealing anti-Ranked Choice Vote, anti-Sanctuary City, and anti-Boycott Divest Sanction laws, and fight for the dignity of working families.
My priorities for immediate steps on the Montana economy are:
A Bank of Montana modeled, after the Bank of North Dakota, to serve as a backstop for small financial institutions during times of crisis like the 2009 crash or COVID
A right of first refusal law for workers in companies facing corporate buyouts, to be able to vote on taking out a low interest state loan to take over the business as an employee-owned co-op.
Supporting a corps of local professional grant writers in all 56 Counties who understand the needs and opportunities in their communities and designate targets for investment projects and infrastructure grants.
Finally, earmarking a percentage of tax income from all Montana energy profits for Medicaid Expansion.
Montana should have secure and securely stored voting machines that have no capability to be connected to the internet, both for voting in person and for counting all paper ballots including mail-in. They should be built in-house, with no proprietary code or hardware that is unavailable to the public, and thoroughly audited. Poll workers and election watchers should be better funded and supported, especially in environments of increasing threats against election workers, and polling locations should be increased to guarantee that Montana citizens can exercise their right to vote without barriers. Futhermore, Citizens United must be destroyed and I support the Montana Plan.

My life experience has sharpened and broadened my decision making skills and I am a veteran of transition. Almost forty years of nursing experience has made me keenly aware of the shortcomings and of our health (illness) care system and of opportunities for positive change.
Medicaid remains up for argumentative changes. I support expanding Medicaid so everyone has at least basic health care coverage. A high priority.
Property taxes are still on the agenda as law suits are being filed. I support a revised tax structure based on income, age, and environmental management. I oppose the agricultural loop holes. This is angoing priority
There will be attempts to reopen and revise Montana's constitution. I oppose this.
I oppose attempts to make proof of citizenship a requirement for the right to vote. Given the miniscule evidence of voter fraud this is a problem looking for an expensive solution. Given the burden it places especially on older women it is also misogyny.
Again, I support the provision of healthcare for everyone via Medicaid or Medicare. The healthcare industry is shamelessly profit before care driven. I have lost friends who delayed care because of coverage cost and concerns.
We need to support working families with affordable childcare and public transportation. We need to offer the jobless and high school students curricula that emphasize the dignity of labor and a broad view of not only trades training opportunities but agricultural/produce, hospitality, recreational, forestry, and more, knowledge and skills.
We need to implement changes written into city planning and building regulations regarding density and affordable housing that the legislature changed during the last session.
I strongly support the Montana Plan that will work to get dark money and corporate influence out of our elections.
I support keeping our judicial branch free of restrictive party designations.
Our elections have been shown to be secure and fraud free. Proving one's citizenship in order to vote should not be necessary.
I support the continued availability of voting by mail as this facilitates voting for those who are distant from polling places or for whom transportation and/or mobility are difficult.
