I served on the Harris Township Board (Granger) for 21 years and the last 11, also served on the Clay Fire Board. I LOVED being a small part of the fire service! I missed it! I love serving my community and I’m good at it.

I really want to make sure that we can get to 5 minute average response time, both north and south of the railroad. That’s the golden time frame for both fires and cardiac/respiratory arrests.

My priorities include making sure we can pay a competitive wage, offer great training, and have great gear.

I’m open to other options, but I believe the best way to move forward is by starting or joining a fire territory. I’ve been through that process before and I can be a big help in the process.
The Board approves the poor relief budget. The Trustee runs the process. My goal as a Board Member is to make sure we are doing anything possible to help people get to a point where they no longer need relief.
Finances. Short term we are ok. Long term we need a fire territory or some other way to finance the fire department.
As mentioned above, I have a ton of relevant experience, plus I’ve served in many other leadership positions. I’m currently the Baugo Board President, and I’ve served as president, chair, or vice chair on many other Boards.
I make myself available to anyone that wants to talk about Board business. I encourage any civil discussion/input in public meetings.
In Harris Township, we found that much, if not all, of the tax increases were offset by decreases in homeowner’s insurance.

In any event, I pledge to make any changes to our tax rate will be done with full transparency.
Meetings are public. Our numbers are public. Decisions are made in public meetings.
