I serve on the WSISD District Planning and Library Book Committees, am a PTO member, and have attended the majority of school board meetings over the last four school years.
Most importantly, my wife and I are proud parents of two WSISD students.
I earned a business degree from Tarleton State University and am a Business Development Director in the oil and gas industry.
I am running for school board because I want to help ensure WSISD continues to grow as a district families choose, teachers want to work in, and students are proud to be part of.
I am already deeply involved through board meeting attendance, committee service, and PTO involvement, and I want to take that service to the next level. My background in business development has prepared me to listen well, work with different viewpoints, and focus on practical solutions that put students first.
Schools should be safe, welcoming, and focused on learning. Any presence of ICE or Border Patrol on campus should follow the law, be handled through clear district procedures, and protect student rights and family trust. As a parent, I want every family to feel confident that their child’s well-being comes first at school. My priority would be student safety, legal compliance, and keeping the focus on education.
Transparency starts with helping parents understand how to provide input, stay involved, and access information easily and quickly. While attending meetings in person is valuable, it is not always possible, so the district should make it easy for families to stay informed and engaged. I support clear agendas, timely posting of materials, respectful public comment, and follow-through when concerns are raised.
Parents should have a powerful voice when concerns arise about books and materials in the schools. I support a clear, consistent process that respects parents, teachers, and district procedures. I serve on the district’s recently formed Library Book Committee, which includes multiple parents, and we will always look for ways to improve the process.
Concerns should be reviewed fairly, transparently, and with attention to educational value, age appropriateness, and community standards.
White Settlement ISD has an obligation to prepare all students for life after graduation, whether that means college, trade school, the military, or the workforce. The workplace is evolving, and our district must evolve with it. That work starts early and must continue across all grade levels and schools so every student is prepared for what comes next.
Occupation
Water Treatment Operator
Brewer HS ’07; TCC NW ’14; Texas Wesleyan University BBA Management, Fall ’26. WSISD Teacher’s Assistant 2007–2009; Army veteran, deployed to Afghanistan; substitute teacher at WSISD; 17 years in water treatment as a Water A Operator. Lifelong community member and active parent.
I’m running to provide transparent leadership, support students and families, and empower our educators. As a WSISD graduate, former teacher’s assistant, substitute teacher, Army veteran, and long-time community member, I understand our schools, value educators, and bring leadership, accountability, and real-world experience to help WSISD thrive academically, safely, and responsibly.
The safety of students, staff, and parents is my highest priority. Any presence of ICE or Border Patrol on school campuses must fully comply with all applicable state and federal laws as well as constitutional protections. I will ensure schools remain safe and secure learning environments, that any law enforcement activity is lawful, narrowly focused, transparent, and respectful of staff and students’ rights, and that families are informed while student welfare is always central.
I would ensure adequate, timely, and comprehensive public input by providing advance notice of all meetings and agendas, sharing clear and detailed summaries of discussions and decisions, and offering multiple ways for parents and community members to participate, including surveys, virtual options, and public comment periods. I will fully respect everyone’s First Amendment right to speak at meetings while ensuring all voices are heard and communication remains open, accountable, and inclusive.
I would support clear, consistent policies for reviewing books and materials that balance educational value with community concerns. Any challenges should follow a formal, transparent process with documented procedures, allowing parents, teachers, and administrators to provide input. Decisions should be made thoughtfully, respecting academic freedom, age-appropriateness, and legal requirements, while keeping students’ learning and well-being at the forefront.
The most critical issues are student safety, bullying, inappropriate staff behavior, and gaps in communication and organization, including bus routes. I will address these by holding the district accountable for zero-tolerance policies for bullying already in place, holding staff accountable, improving communication and organization, and prioritizing the safety of students, staff, and parents while ensuring all actions comply with laws and maintain transparency and trust in our schools.
