City of Westworth Village City Council, Place 3

City councils in Texas each have specific responsibilities unique to their city. Duties of a city council generally include setting the tax rate, approving a budget, adopting local ordinances, and managing land transactions. City councils plan and oversee public services and facilities: police and fire protection; health and sanitation services; animal control; street construction and maintenance; garbage collection and disposal; transportation systems; recreational facilities; parking; airports; jails; parks and zoos; libraries and museums; hospitals and emergency services; building codes/zoning; and water and sewage service. City council members may also elect other municipal officers or appoint citizens to serve on boards and commissions.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Central Florida. Served on the CCPD/Public Safety Board since June 2023 and the Finance & Long Range Planning Committee since June 2025. Professional experience includes serving as Director of Operations and Director of Sales Operations since 2011 for a Fortune 1000 manufacturing company.
I am running for city council to help ensure our city continues its positive trajectory and remains a safe, well‑managed, and beautiful community for my family and all residents. My background in information technology and business operations provides experience with budgeting, planning, and data‑driven decision‑making. Service on the CCPD/Public Safety Board and the Finance & Long Range Planning Committee has given me firsthand insight into city finances, public safety, and long‑term planning.
The city already provides advance notice, agendas/meeting materials in accordance with state law, and I would support continuing those practices. As a council member, I would focus on clear and understandable explanations of decisions, the reasoning behind votes, and how input is incorporated. I would also strive to be accessible to residents, encourage dialogue, and support opportunities for the public to engage before, during, and after meetings so residents feel informed, heard and included.
I support clear, consistent nondiscrimination policies that ensure all residents are treated with fairness and respect, while fully complying with any federal and state laws or requirements. My focus would be on transparency and open communication so city services remain accessible, welcoming, and responsive to the needs of the entire community.
I support transparent cooperation with ICE under 287(g) that is narrowly focused on serious public safety concerns and respects constitutional protections. I do not support broad local involvement in routine immigration enforcement that could undermine community trust or local priorities.
The city is in a strong position, and most residents support its current direction. The most critical issues ahead involve maintaining and improving core infrastructure, including streets, water and sewer lines, and drainage projects. I would focus on ensuring these projects are properly prioritized, cost‑effective, and funded responsibly, while working to maintain the existing tax rate and minimize the financial impact on residents.

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and I am coming up on 2 years of experience on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
I have worked as a manager and have been responsible for multi‑million‑dollar client relationships. I have been a Westworth Village resident since 2015 and have attended City Council meetings for more than five years. I believe in transparency and honesty, and I feel that these experiences together make me well‑equipped to serve our residents in this capacity.
I currently encourage citizens to participate and would continue to do so. Additionally, the city administration has been working to host meetings on our city website for two years now, and I would urge that we resolve this issue so residents who cannot attend in person are able to view them online.
I would support establishing a process for residents to file complaints. In developing this process, the inclusion of policies against discrimination and retaliation would be essential.
Cooperation with ICE is currently a heavily debated topic. With regard to supporting or not supporting ICE under 287(g), I would rely on our Westworth Village Police Department. I have long advocated for our police department and trust both them and our community.
Our city is in a unique situation. We are landlocked with only a few remaining pieces of undeveloped property. Westworth Village is financially stable and has been cash‑positive for several years. With regard to critical issues that may arise, I would seek the thoughts and input of our residents. Using this feedback, I would work with the other councilmembers to develop a solution that best addresses the need. I firmly believe it takes a village.
