After 2 years on council I ran for mayor after dysfunctional and ineffective leadership. I won in 2024 with 82% of the vote. I am seeking re-election to continue our work for Westlake and Westlake Academy. Our town also is one of now only two towns/cities in Texas that manages a school. Westlake Academy is a K-12 public charter school one of the top ranked overall school in Texas. The means our town council is also the school board.
We strive to be inclusive for all town residents and school parents. We started having our Westlake Academy children lead our council meetings in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge. We also brought in local pastors/ministers for a prayer. Our meeting the last 24 months are professional and efficient.
Westlake is a proudly a very diverse community.
I will uphold my oath.
Responsible growth, building a fortress balance sheet and increase school funding.

Occupation
Finance & Investment Professional
Finance and investment professional with master’s degrees in finance, accounting, and taxation. Twice elected to Westlake Town Council and served as Mayor Pro Tem. Parent of six children attending Westlake Academy. Professional experience includes budgeting, long-term financial planning, and governance oversight.
I am running to help ensure Westlake maintains strong financial discipline, transparent governance, and thoughtful long-term planning. After stepping down from Town Council, many residents encouraged me to continue serving and help bring steady, collaborative leadership. My background in finance provides experience in budgeting, debt management, and strategic decision-making. As a parent of six children in Westlake Academy, I am personally invested in the town’s future.
I would ensure agendas and supporting materials are posted well in advance, encourage meaningful public comment at meetings, and promote open communication between residents, council, and staff. Important decisions should be discussed in public whenever possible, with clear explanations of impacts and alternatives. Transparency builds trust and leads to better long-term outcomes for the town.
I support policies that ensure all residents are treated fairly and in accordance with the law. Westlake should comply with federal and state requirements while maintaining clear local standards for equal access to town services, public safety, and opportunity. I would support transparent procedures, consistent application of policies, and periodic review to protect individual rights and maintain a respectful, professional environment.
Westlake should comply with applicable federal and state law and cooperate appropriately with law enforcement agencies when required. Decisions about participation in programs such as 287(g) should be carefully evaluated based on local public safety needs, legal obligations, and available resources. The town’s primary responsibility is to maintain safety, follow the law, and serve residents effectively.
Key issues include responsible financial management, transparent governance, and preserving the quality and character of Westlake. I would focus on disciplined budgeting, careful review of debt and long-term obligations, and clear public communication around major decisions. Supporting strong town services and maintaining a high-quality educational environment are also essential to the community’s long-term stability.
