BA in Political Science; currently pursuing an Executive MBA at UT Arlington. Marine Corps veteran, business owner, and former Kennedale City Councilmember. Leads workforce development and training for a $180M infrastructure company, with 15+ years in project management. Active community leader and President/Chair of multiple nonprofit organizations.
I’m running to ensure Kennedale grows strategically while protecting our small-town character, strengthening infrastructure, financial stewardship, and long-term planning. My background as a veteran, business owner, and former councilmember, combined with experience in project management and workforce development, equips me to make disciplined, data-driven decisions that serve our community. My experience has prepared me to lead with integrity, plan responsibly, and serve our community well.
Transparency requires meaningful discussion in public, not just votes. When decisions appear pre-determined and lack deliberation on the dais, it limits accountability and public trust. I will advocate for open, thoughtful dialogue, earlier release of information, and clear explanations so residents understand how and why decisions are made. Through my “Let’s Talk” approach, I will also expand opportunities for residents to engage before and after decisions.
The City’s responsibility is to serve every resident fairly and in accordance with the law. Policies related to discrimination are primarily defined by federal and state requirements, and the City must comply with those standards. At the local level, my focus is ensuring equal access to services, responsible use of taxpayer dollars, and strong oversight of infrastructure and operations so all residents are served consistently and effectively.
Immigration enforcement is primarily a federal responsibility, and the City must operate within the law. City Council sets policy, while operations are carried out by the City Manager and law enforcement. Kennedale does not operate a jail, and programs like 287(g) are typically managed at the county level. My focus is public safety through lawful cooperation between agencies to protect our community and maintain trust.
The most critical issues facing Kennedale are infrastructure, responsible financial stewardship, and the management of growth while protecting our small-town charm. Our roads, facilities, and core assets must be properly maintained to protect long-term investments. I will prioritize disciplined budgeting, proactive maintenance, and thoughtful planning to ensure growth strengthens, not strains, our community. My focus is on making decisions that serve current residents and future generations.
