Town of Edgecliff Village City Council, Place 3
City councils in Texas each have specific responsibilities unique to their city. Duties of a city council generally include setting the tax rate, approving a budget, adopting local ordinances, and managing land transactions. City councils plan and oversee public services and facilities: police and fire protection; health and sanitation services; animal control; street construction and maintenance; garbage collection and disposal; transportation systems; recreational facilities; parking; airports; jails; parks and zoos; libraries and museums; hospitals and emergency services; building codes/zoning; and water and sewage service. City council members may also elect other municipal officers or appoint citizens to serve on boards and commissions.

I have years of experience with the town and bring and engineer's insight and precision to the town council
I fully support the open policies in our council meetings. I help maintain the PA system and have implemented Bluetooth Auracast in our meetings.
Since I've been involved with the town, our staff and council have always been a group of very diverse backgrounds.
Being such a small town, our law enforcement is through a contract with the county sheriff's office. As far as I know, their policies are not under our control.
As with many small towns in Texas, aging infrastructure is the most critical issue. It is a slow process to upgrade it without putting undue tax burden on the residents.
