City of Arlington Councilmember, District #3

City councils in Texas each have specific responsibilities unique to their city. Duties of a city council generally include setting the tax rate, approving a budget, adopting local ordinances, and managing land transactions. City councils plan and oversee public services and facilities: police and fire protection; health and sanitation services; animal control; street construction and maintenance; garbage collection and disposal; transportation systems; recreational facilities; parking; airports; jails; parks and zoos; libraries and museums; hospitals and emergency services; building codes/zoning; and water and sewage service. City council members may also elect other municipal officers or appoint citizens to serve on boards and commissions.

I’m running for City Council because I love this city, and I believe leadership should be about action, accessibility, and results.

I have served on council for the last five years with a proven record of results.

Professionally, I work full-time in healthcare management, where I focus on operations, budgeting, and delivering results in high-pressure environments. That experience directly translates to city governance—understanding budgets, managing resources responsibly, and making decision
My commitment is to keep government open, responsive, and centered on the people we serve.
We can meet federal funding requirements without compromising how we treat people. I support clear nondiscrimination policies grounded in law, consistent staff training, and strong accountability so every resident is treated fairly. Even if DEI language changes, our responsibility doesn’t—services must remain accessible to every neighborhood.
I support limited cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement under the 287(g) program, specifically in cases involving individuals charged with or convicted of serious or violent crimes, and in compliance with lawful federal requirements.

However, I do not support broad application of 287(g) that would shift local law enforcement into primary immigration enforcement roles, increase the risk of discrimination, or undermine community trust.
Public safety comes first. I’ve worked closely with our police and fire departments to strengthen partnerships and ensure our neighborhoods stay safe.

Second, infrastructure. As our city grows, we must stay ahead of traffic and safety needs. I’ve already delivered real improvements like new crossings, signals, and safer streets—and I’ll keep that work moving forward.

Third, strong neighborhoods. That means clean, well-maintained communities, supporting small businesses, and being responsive.
