I bring proven leadership, experience, and a strong commitment to our community. I served for over eight years on the Rio Rancho School Board, including in leadership roles, focusing on strengthening policies, supporting educators, and improving student outcomes. I’m now in my first term as State Representative for District 57, serving on the House Education Committee and the House Rural Development, Land Grants, and Cultural Affairs Committee. I’ve spent decades in the real estate industry, giving me insight into our local economy and growth. I’m a graduate of Leadership New Mexico’s Local Government Leadership Program and Leadership Sandoval, and I bring a proven record of working with others to deliver real results for our community.
My priorities are public safety, education, economic stability, support for our veterans, and healthcare access. I believe in practical solutions that focus on what actually works—making sure law enforcement has the resources they need, strengthening career technical education so students are ready for real jobs, and building pathways that connect education to the workforce. I’ve also supported measures to backfill SNAP benefits, expand healthcare coverage, and invest in childcare. I support policies that help local businesses grow, create jobs, and ease the burden on families, while ensuring veterans receive the care and benefits they’ve earned. I believe we must use taxpayer dollars wisely to truly benefit our communities.
New Mexico must take a long-term, strategic approach to water. We need to invest in infrastructure to reduce water loss, expand reuse and recycling, and explore solutions like desalination. This includes better use of brackish water from our aquifers and produced water from the oil and gas operations by treating and reusing it for industrial purposes, helping conserve fresh water for communities and agriculture. Strong collaboration with local governments, agriculture, and industry is essential.
We must continue recruiting and retaining healthcare providers by expanding medical education, increasing the number of residency programs, and strengthening loan-repayment incentives. We’ve made progress through expanded programs at UNM and by passing additional interstate medical compacts to bring more qualified providers to New Mexico. I’ve also supported efforts to expand healthcare coverage so more families can access care when they need it. However, we need to do more. There are additional interstate healthcare licensing compacts we need to pass. Supporting telehealth and innovative care models will help reach rural and underserved areas, ensuring residents have timely access to quality care close to home.

I’m a mom, wife, and small business owner, with one son in high school and another in college. My professional background spans higher education and community development finance. At UNM, I worked as an academic advisor and later led student initiatives, building partnerships to better support students and their families. I then worked nationally with credit unions to expand access to fair lending in underserved communities—bringing resources and opportunity to working families. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the financial challenges people face and how access to education, fair lending, and opportunity can change lives. Today, I run my own consulting and coaching business, continuing that work here in our community.
I would address my priorities by focusing on practical, community-driven solutions. That starts with strengthening public education—investing in teachers, expanding career and technical pathways, and making sure students are prepared for good-paying jobs.
I would also work to lower costs for families by supporting affordable healthcare, housing, and everyday expenses. Through my background in community development finance, I understand how access to fair lending and economic opportunity can help families get ahead, and I’ll bring that perspective to the legislature.
Just as important, I’ll stay rooted in the community, listening to families, small businesses, and educators, and making sure their voices guide the decisions I make in Santa
New Mexico must take a long-term, practical approach to water because in an increasingly arid state, it is our most critical resource. Conservation must remain a top priority.
In communities like Rio Rancho, we face real challenges, drought, reliance on groundwater, aging infrastructure, and water quality concerns. As we grow, we must focus on sustainability by reducing water loss, supporting conservation and smart land use, improving infrastructure, and aligning development with long-term water availability. I’m committed to working with local leaders and experts to protect our water for future generations.
Large economic development projects must be evaluated with both opportunity and impact in mind—especially in communities like ours where these decisions have real, local consequences.
We should prioritize projects that create good-paying jobs and real economic opportunity, but also take a close look at public safety, water use, infrastructure strain, and overall community impact. That means transparent review processes, meaningful community input, and clear accountability for how public resources are used.
In fast-growing areas like Rio Rancho and Sandoval County, residents want intentional growth not growth at any cost. We need to make sure projects align with our values, protect our natural resources, and truly benefit the families who
District 57 is home to NM Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC), which helps make care accessible—but not always affordable. We need to ensure residents understand what services and resources are available and have help navigating those options. I see my role as connecting constituents to care, answering questions, and advocating for solutions that make healthcare more affordable and accessible for everyone.
