As the elected representative for House District 56, I believe qualifications for office go far beyond simply meeting statutory requirements. The people of southern New Mexico deserve leadership grounded in conservative values, constitutional principles, and a willingness to stand firm when it matters.

I have dedicated my life to public service—serving my community as a firefighter, EMT, Fire Chief, rancher, and now as your State Representative. My qualifications are built on real-world experience, not political ambition. I understand firsthand the challenges facing working families, ranchers, small business owners, law enforcement, and rural communities because I have lived them.

My highest priorities have always been the people of House District 56 and the values that make our communities strong. First and foremost, I will continue fighting for public safety by ensuring our law enforcement, firefighters, EMS personnel, and first responders have the resources, training, and support they need to protect our communities.

I will continue to stand for fiscal responsibility by making sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, government remains accountable, and wasteful spending is challenged. New Mexicans work too hard to see their money mismanaged.

Economic growth is another top priority. As a small business owner, I understand the challenges our job creators face.
Water is one of the most critical issues facing New Mexico, and as our state continues to experience drought, wildfire impacts, and increasing demand, we must take a long-term, commonsense approach rooted in conservation, local control, and responsible stewardship.

We must protect and strengthen our existing water rights. In New Mexico, water is not just a resource—it is the foundation of our agriculture, our rural communities, our economy, and our way of life. Any solution must respect private property rights, existing water users, and the legal framework that has sustained our communities for generations.
When considering large economic development projects, my first priority is whether the project truly benefits the people of New Mexico and especially the communities it directly impacts. We must look at long-term job creation, wages, infrastructure demands, water usage, environmental impacts, and whether taxpayer dollars are being used responsibly. I also believe local communities and property owners must have a voice in the process. Economic development should strengthen our economy, support small businesses, respect private property rights, and create opportunities for future generations—not place unnecessary burdens on rural New Mexico.
Access to health care in rural New Mexico remains one of our biggest challenges. In District 56, we need to focus on strengthening rural hospitals, expanding access to primary care, supporting EMS and emergency services, and creating incentives to recruit and retain doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals in underserved communities. We should also expand telehealth where it makes sense, improve mental health services, and reduce unnecessary regulations that make it harder for providers to serve rural areas. Every family, regardless of where they live, deserves timely, quality care close to home.
