I have worked at the Eddy County Clerk’s office for 19 years. I was hired in the Bureau of Elections and cross trained in Recording and Filing.
Definitely implementing some of the laws that get passed.
Having a seat at the table when these Bills are being discussed.
We are always trying to figure out how to increase voter turnout. There’s a lot of money and people’s time that go into each election. We post on social media and put PSA’s in the local newspapers.
It should be non-partisan. We drop our political views as soon as we walk in those doors. It is very important to stay neutral when you work in the Clerk’s office.
