I have worked for the Assessor's Office for almost 19 years and was previously appointed and then elected Assessor from 2013 to 2023. I am very familiar with the processes and policies required for this position as well as the statutes/laws.
I would love to do a complete land revaluation. We are currently exploring the best ways to accomplish this with the manpower that we currently have. We would also like to see updates in our software and are excited to explore all the new possibilities and use it to it's full extent.
I have always approached valuations from a very fair and equitable position. There is no room for politics in property valuation, it is simply worth what it is worth. Finding that value can be a challenge though. Our office has many tools and support to assist in the valuation process.
Education is the post important aspect of this industry and we have always encouraged and supported our staff to seek as much education as they can. We have always had an open door policy and the staff is very well versed in the state statutes as well as our processes within the office.
