I served Valencia County as a firefighter and paramedic for 20+ years. During my career, I developed strong organizational and analytical skills and often worked within limited timeframes and under extreme and chaotic conditions-qualifications that will serve me well to clean up the mismanagement at all levels of Valencia County government.
Responsible water management while encouraging economic development is crucial for our prosperity. I believe our aquifers should be treated like critical infrastructure.

I am the daughter of a WWII USN Pearl Harbor Survivor and career firefighter, sister of a disabled USN Veteran and the widow of a USN veteran and retired AFD firefighter. I am a retired first responder as well and will always advocate for all first responders and veterans for their rights, equipment and benefits.
I would announce town halls on the Valencia County website and also in the local newspaper as well as my social media platform which will include my opinions and voting record.
I will improve emergency readiness for increased wildfires expected in our drier and hotter climate. I will ensure that new developments include flood and erosion mitigation plans, which are crucial to improving our roads, infrastructure and drainage. I will support economic opportunity that does not exhaust our limited water resources.
Engaging constituents to determine the needs of the county is important for prioritizing. Lobbying our legislature for capital outlay money as well as applying for grants will facilitate the development the constituents would like for the county.

My vast experience with house purchasing, police department, fire department, and 13 years in the corrections facility. I am a people person and love to help people. I am actively involved in communication with the communities and willing to do what I can to assist.
With as much information about all issues, talk to the public, and meet and work with other officials to get the job done.
Attend local meetings to give information about how the projects are meant progress and meet with the constituents prior to the meetings so both sides can be shared and discussed to obtain the best outcome.
Any industries petitioning the county to relocate here as part of their construction plan needs to have a plan on how to recycle and repurpose water through the company. Also to have a plan to maintain their pipes to make sure there are no leaks, to keep water waste to a minimum.
Continually giving information about all projects that effect the community and give them opportunities to express their concerns and their thoughts on what is happening in their communities.
