DUTIES: The Maryland Orphans’ Court is the probate court. It also has jurisdiction over guardianship of minors. The Orphans’ Court supervises the handling of estates of people who have died - with or without a will - while owning property in their sole name.TERM: Four years with no term limits.SALARY: $6,000HOW ELECTED/QUALIFICATIONS: All qualified voters in Kent County may vote for up to 3 candidates for Judge of Orphans’ Court this year. Judges must be residents of Kent County for 1 year and be registered voters.

Graduate of KCHS in 1975, worked at APGFD retiring in 2007, work currently for Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Homes, Continuing Education at the Maryland Judicial College in Annapolis Md where I meet my annual continuing Education Credits for the Judgeship position I am elected to by Kent County voters.
