I believe real change happens at the local level. These past 3+ years, I heard from German Township community members and realize the importance of keeping people informed and HEARING the community. As past board chair, I have been able to realize those goals and seek to continue the work we started as a team and as leaders of this community.
Our current trustee has been doing an excellent job of meeting the needs of our community. During my term as a German Township Advisory Board Member, I have been able to support her work and be present during the various activities she has organized on behalf of the community. I seek to continue that support and advise as to how best to serve German Township.
The biggest issue involving the township is maintaining our cemeteries and meeting our poor relief needs. We have been resolving this by acting with due diligence and ensuring proper administration of poor relief.
I have served Indiana as a practicing attorney for the last 24+ years. I have been able to represent my constituents as an advocate at the local level and in Indianapolis. I bring decades of experience in boards through the State and the Country. I see myself continuing to work closely with my fellow board members with the idea that together we can make a difference for German Township.
I look back to my time as a German Township Board Member and as a past school board member. I have made myself accessible via email, cell phone, Zoom calls and through newsletters. I intend to continue that access should the voters entrust me to continue in this capacity.
I am proud to have been one of seven townships that voted unanimously to expand our fire territory and increase the salaries for those firefighters who work hard to keep us safe. The advisory board should consider the benefits in safety to the community and balance that with potential tax increases. Having services that the community needs to be safe is well worth the cost. At the same time, I understand the need to be fiscally responsible and will continue to carefully balance that responsibility.
In German Township, we have a community sign that informs the community of board meetings and upcoming community events. Our board meetings are open to the public and now available to be observed online. We will continue to make ourselves accessible in person and virtually. I am committed to continue the transparency we have provided and will continue to provide.

To help lower taxes for our township.
Advice would be to cut administrative cut so more money for actual aid would be available.
There are to many salaries being paid out to accomplish the job of trustee. This needs to be changed to save tax dollars.
Union rep many years, business owner and subdivision developer, factory worker, on board of directors AAA federal Credit 18 years. My role would be better over site to help bring down tax’s for our township.
Will give out cell phone so the can contact me. Be at all meetings so they can question me about anything at township level.
They should look for ways to consolidate services being just like I said to the fire services at the territory meeting. There needs to be one county fire department just like the county sheriffs department to reduce cost and still have good service.
There needs to be a flyer go out for each meeting to notify residents so they can attend and ask questions. Right now maybe 4 or 5 people attend. With the latest merger of the Fire Departments most residents have no idea what went on.
