1. Representation of Constituents – Represent my district at the county level by communicating with residents and bringing local concerns to county government.
2. Legislative Duties – Pass resolutions and ordinances, establish policy, and govern how county departments operate.
3. Budget and Financial Oversight – Approve the annual operating budget, set property tax rates, allocate funding to departments, and monitor county spending.
4. Oversight of County Services – Ensure county services operate efficiently and effectively.
5. Appointments and Confirmations – Appoint members to county boards and confirm mayoral appointments.
Balancing growth responsibly to support economic growth, job creation, and attainable housing, and increasing support for our first responders and public safety personnel.
Continued work with our state delegation, chamber of commerce, municipal mayors, council members, industrial development boards, and planning commissions to present accurate assessments and action plans to county government.
