As your a commissioner my ( our) responsibility is to provide essential services : 1) Public Safety- Sheriffs office, county jail, fire & rescue and EMS 2) We service Public Health & Human Services 3) Infrastructure- Maintenance of roads, bridges + County buildings, courthouses, schools …. 4)Land use & Planning & Zoning, subdivision approvals. 5) Economic Development- attracting quality business 6) Education- fund and manage school districts 7) Social services & Community programs 8)Permitting - Codes Enforcement 9) Approving Dept Budgets and most important- setting the Tax Rate 10) let’s not forget the Solid Waste and the Middle Point landfill battle. This pretty much sums it up, but the devils in the details!
Just two? 1) Traffic, Infrastructure:: We must develop a long range road program and a mechanism for funding. We must ease congestion and build adequate roads first then subdivisions 2A) Bring closure to Middle Point landfill and stop bring dozens of other counties trash into our home. 2B) keeping our Education top notch
Like any thing else - get the smartest people in the room ( stakeholders) develop plans and goals, share with the public/ taxpayers- then execute the plan

Bio Questions Default I am a Tennessee native, proud resident of Rutherford County, community organizer, artist, teacher, and gardener. For nearly 14 years, I've watched District 7 grow and change. This growth has brought new homes and opportunities, but it has also priced long-time friends and neighbors out of our community. I'm running to ensure that the voices and needs of our community are heard, accounted for, and represented in local government. I am committed to fostering an economy that works for everyone. This means supporting our local small businesses, creating good-paying jobs, and ensuring that working families can build a prosperous future. Affordability is key to a thriving community. I promise to put our your needs first; let's work together!
As a representative, I promise to listen to and address the needs of the constituents in my district, while improving living and working conditions for all Rutherford County residents, especially those who feel their voices are not currently being heard.
I plan to work with the other commissioners to create a budget resolution that improves access to early childhood education and food for all county students. I would like to expand our current Pre-K program and free school lunch program for all students in the County. I plan to use federal funding (USDA programs) that are already available to utilize our budget funds.

Once elected, I plan to be transparent regarding what our commission's goals are, as well as accessible and accountable to my constituents in District 7. I will hold twice-yearly town halls for citizens to voice their concerns and desires for our County. I want all residents to partake in the democratic process of building a more vibrant community.
By working with other county commissioners and taking advantage of the USDA's Community Eligibility Provision, which allows qualifying school districts to participate in free breakfast and lunch for all students, we can eliminate the need for individual income applications and seek federal reimbursement.

I promise to be available to listen and act on the concerns of our residents and my constituents in District 7. Currently, I have a monthly newsletter detailing the campaign events, and plan to continue to share what we (as county commissioners) are working on through social media and my email newsletter.
