The District 5 (Town of Arbor Vitae) County Board seat was open for quite some time. Working as the treasurer for the Town of Arbor Vitae, I am in the office several days a week, and I attend all the town board meetings. After being in my position for over a year, I figured I was in a perfect position to represent the Town of Arbor Vitae. After receiving support from the town supervisors, I was appointed to the Vilas County Board in November of 2024. I am just starting to get involved with various committees and would like to continue being a voice for the Town of Arbor Vitae.
I believe the top issue is continuing to offer all of our county services under tight budget constraints. The second issue would be attracting and retaining workers and families in Vilas County.
Being the treasurer for the Town of Arbor Vitae, I see how the town puts together the budget and maintains it. I also was an educator for 28 years. I gained experience working with many different committees and groups to create the best opportunities.
I encourage residents to attend the board meetings, so they can listen to all the discussions that revolve around the various topics. I am always open to talk over concerns with any of my constituents and provide support or assistance whenever possible.
