Community Involvement Current Lake Tomahawk Town Supervisor, Current District 15 County Supervisor,
I initially ran in 2024 because it seemed that the previous supervisor was not responsive to the community. There were reasonable, educated voices that were being ignored on important issues. I am currently running because, as I have increased my knowledge of county issues, I feel more confident in expanding the scope of work within my position. I encourage conversations with constituents about their concerns and believe decisions I have made contribute positively to our county.
One issue facing the county is the uncertainty for programs that rely on federal funding. As an example, we have had funding cut for Foodwise, an educational program for SNAP recipients. Another issue is how to anticipate budgets for departments that rely heavily on grant funded programs while maintaining the goals of keeping our community safe, prosperous and healthy.
I have been serving for three years on my town board and currently serve on the county board. My background as an educator has been invaluable in communicating and working with colleagues and constituents.
I have my contact information on the county website. I attend meetings in the towns that I represent to keep district residents updated on county board issues.
