I am a graduate of Kent County High School and earned a degree in Business Management from Salisbury University. I have served in law enforcement for 25 years. I have worked in patrol, in the High School, detective, tactical team commander, administrator, and police instructor. I was first sworn in as Sheriff of Kent County in December 2022. In addition to my professional experience, My wife and I have been married for 22 years and together we are raising four children.
Although some perceive crime is increasing, the data shows overall crime in Kent County has declined during my tenure as sheriff. We continue to take a proactive approach by maintaining a strong patrol presence, working closely with our municipal, state, and community partners, and emphasizing community engagement and crime prevention. My focus remains on proactive policing, strong partnerships, and transparency to ensure Kent County remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.
