I support the establishment of data centers, if done properly and distributed throughout the state in communities that desire to have them. They should also follow proper environmental parameters as provided through the Department of the Environment.
I believe the cause of escalating utility costs is the need for Maryland to import its energy from other states. I support the creation of our own energy through as many methods as possible. This includes, solar, wind, nuclear, and gas.
Yes, the availability of public transportation should be improved. The Hogan administration canceled a metro rail line in Baltimore, which would have provided access to those across the state to commute to Baltimore using public transportation. There is also the need for public transportation to expand from Prince George's County to Charles and Calvert County to alleviate the number of cars that are on the highways going through Prince George's.
My top three budget priorities are ensuring the Youth Services Bureau receive funding to continue providing mental health support to our families. I also prioritize increase funding of education paraprofessionals, and those that are making less than a living wage. My last priority is to find creative ways we can fund the budget without increasing taxes on our residents and businesses. I will continue to fight for the growth of businesses here in the state, and encouraging others to move here.

Data centers must be required to have their own transformers and power source, use gray water, use clean and renewable energy sources and not be located near residential communities. Currently data centers are contributing air pollution, water usage and rising consumer and commercial utility bills. The current model is not working.
The power grid is outdated, and the state does generate enough power for its residents. Additionally, the demand from data centers housed in-the state and in nearby states are contributing to rising utility bills. The state must fund more energy efficiency assistance for residential customers and invest more in clean and renewable energy infrastructure that will generate more power to help bring down utility costs. The state must reduce some of the fees and taxes on customer utility bills.
Yes. Public transportation is critical to creating livable communities. There is limited public transportation in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Public transportation reduces pollution, reduces the number of cars on the road, and helps create good jobs. According to the American Lung Association, Prince George's County received a letter grade of F in 2025 for poor air quality. This contributes to higher rates of asthma, cancer and other respirator related illnesses.
