We must study this matter and produce answers to questions like, How many data centers do we need to achieve the technological goals we’ve set as a state? To mitigate the harm to people, the environment, and the Earth, we should be exploring more creative alternatives to traditional data centers. The technology is dated and quantum computing may be a better alternative with far less potential to create hazardous conditions for people, the environment, and the Earth.
The cost of utilities is escalating because the cost of updating infrastructure is being passed on to residents. As data centers and traditional commercial businesses are brought onto the grid, there are added costs involved to update and extend existing service delivery infrastructure. I will call on energy companies to parse out service delivery lines, and charge residential users the appropriate, proportional share of the cost.
My goal is for all Marylanders to feel free to travel to points across the state and to have the option to do so on public transportation. This would eliminate pockets of the state being subjected to isolation and allow for all counties and local jurisdictions to have the opportunity to engage in the State’s economy.

I will fight or adequate funding for community schools, universal healthcare, and smart public safety initiatives that include behavioral health, reentry, jobs, housing, and access to voting.
I will advocate for outreach and communication with immigrant communities in their native language. We must hear from immigrant communities to know exactly what their needs are and how the State can respond. Currently, the priority is to uphold the safety of our immigrant communities and keep Maryland a sanctuary state.

Data centers bring construction jobs but impose real costs on our community: excessive water consumption, strain on the power grid, noise pollution, and land that could serve housing or small businesses. Prince George's County residents deserve a voice in these decisions. I oppose expanding data centers in our district without meaningful community consent and enforceable environmental standards.
Rising utility costs reflect underinvestment in grid modernization, over-reliance on fossil fuels, and insufficient consumer protections. I will push for expanded renewable energy investment, stronger rate review oversight, and utility assistance programs for low-income families. No Prince George's County resident should have to choose between keeping the lights on and putting food on the table.
Prince George's County residents depend on WMATA and MTA daily, yet service gaps persist. Reliable public transit reduces traffic, cuts emissions, and connects working families to jobs. I support dedicated operational funding for WMATA, full restoration of the Red Line, and expanded bus service in underserved communities.
My three priorities are fully funding the Blueprint for Maryland's Future, expanding affordable housing investment, and protecting Medicaid. I will fight to close corporate tax loopholes and ensure large multinationals pay their fair share before cutting any program that working families in Prince George's County depend on.
Immigrant families are our neighbors, coworkers, and fellow parents. I will oppose any state collaboration with federal deportation efforts, support ending 287(g) agreements, and fight to ensure immigrant residents can access public services without fear. Every person in District 23 deserves to feel safe and fully included in our community.
