I recognize the economic benefits data centers can bring, but I have serious concerns about their impact on community health, energy demand, water use, and land. Any development must be carefully evaluated, with strong safeguards, community input, and sustainability standards to ensure it does not harm residents or strain our infrastructure.
Rising costs are driven by infrastructure upgrades and energy market volatility. I support investments in renewable energy, grid modernization, and strong oversight to protect consumers. My work advancing fair wages and economic stability reflects my commitment to ensuring families can afford essential services.
Yes. Expanding public transportation improves access to jobs, education, and healthcare. I support continued investment in reliable, affordable transit that connects communities and strengthens economic opportunity across Maryland.
My priorities are education, working families, and public health. I will fight for funding for schools, healthcare access—including cancer screening expansion I supported—and workforce development, while protecting essential services and fair wages.
I support policies that protect immigrant communities and expand access to resources and opportunity. I have consistently supported equity-focused policies and will continue working to ensure all families feel safe, included, and able to thrive in Maryland.

Data centers can bring investment and technology jobs, but their growth must be carefully manage. I support responsible development only if project meet is strong, environmental standards, protect our power grid and water supply, and provide clear economic benefit to local communities. Maryland should prioritize smart planning so the energy cost for residents are not increased and our infrastructure is not a strained.
Utility cost are rising due to aging infrastructure, increase the demand from large energy users like data centers, and racing fuel and transmission cost. Maryland must modernize the power grid, expand reliable energy sources, and strengthen oversight to protect consumers. My priority is protecting families from racing cost by promoting energy, efficiency programs, improving infrastructure and ensuring large energy user pay their fair share.
Yes. Expanding and improving public transportation is essential for economic growth, mobility, and reducing traffic, congestion. Maryland should invest in reliable transit options like Metro, MARC, buses, and projects like purple line. Strong transit connects residents to jobs, support businesses, and helps reduce environmental impact.
My top priorities are: 1)Strong public education, ensuring the schools and teachers have the resources they need. 2) economic growth, and job creation, supporting a small businesses and attracting new industries; and 3) infrastructure and transportation, including transit and road improvements . I will fight for responsible budgeting that protects essential services while making government more efficient and accountable.
As an immigrant and the mayor of a diverse community, I understand firsthand, the strength immigrants bring to Maryland. Immigrant families are entrepreneurs, workers, and community leaders who help drive our economy I will support policies that expand opportunity, protects workers, rights improve language access to services, and ensure immigrant families feel safe participating in our communities while contributing to Maryland’s growth.
