No, I do not support additional data centers. Maryland consumes 6 times more energy than it produces. This means not only are rates high because of a strained power grid but as a state we are not positively contributing to the issue. Any additional data centers will only make a bad problem worse.
As Delegate of District 27A I will stop the conversation around data centers and continue the search for investments that can benefit our economy.
Utility costs are high because of the STRIDE Act passed in 2013. The STRIDE Act allows utility companies to recover infrastructure costs by increasing rates and adding surcharges to residents. Done in the name of capitalism and under the guise of public safety, the STRIDE Act has encouraged utility companies to make infrastructure investments with no risk and no with no reason to keep costs down as they can get all their money back by increasing our rates.

Public transportation MUST be improved across the state and especially here in District 27A. Maryland currently ranks #2 for the worst traffic in the United States. Investments in effective public transit and bringing the light rail to Charles & Prince Georges County are my top priorities.
Residents across the state deserve access to highly effective public transportation and as Delegate of District 27A I will make sure this is a top priority.
My budget priorities are as follows.
- Requiring all departments and programs to create a performance grading system.
- Ensuring we can afford the programs and ideas we put in place.
- Creating a statewide office of the Inspector General.
If we cannot pay for the programs we put in place, not only will we not achieve our goal in helping residents, but we will be making their lives worse. When the state budget is in a deficit, crucial programs get cut and costs roll down to county governments
As Delegate of District 27A I will not just support the ending of 287(g) Agreements, but I will also vote yes on the Data Privacy Act (HB1431) which prohibits local agencies from sharing personal information and facial recognition data with federal immigration authorities without a valid judicial warrant.
I will also vote yes on Community Trust Act (HB1575) which will prohibit agents from investigating an individual’s citizenship, immigration status, place of birth and detainment based on suspi

No. While data centers can generate revenue, their significant energy consumption, water usage, and strain on local infrastructure raise serious concerns for Maryland communities. Any future development must prioritize environmental sustainability, grid reliability, and meaningful community benefit rather than unchecked expansion that could burden residents and public resources.
Escalating utility costs in Maryland are driven by energy market volatility, aging infrastructure, and transmission costs. I support strengthening regulatory oversight, expanding renewable energy and grid modernization, investing in energy efficiency, and ensuring utilities are accountable so ratepayers are protected from unnecessary cost burdens. I will also advocate for greater transparency in rate-setting and stronger consumer protections.
Yes. Expanding and improving public transportation across Maryland is essential for economic mobility, environmental sustainability, and regional connectivity. Reliable transit helps workers access jobs, students reach schools, and seniors maintain independence. I support investments in modern, efficient transit systems that reduce traffic congestion, lower emissions, and ensure equitable access to transportation in both urban and rural communities.
My top budget priorities include strengthening public education, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and supporting economic opportunity for working families. I will fight to fully fund our schools, including resources for teachers and student support services. I will also prioritize workforce development, small business growth, and investments in affordable housing so Maryland families can live, work, and thrive in stable communities.
As a first-generation American, I understand the courage and sacrifice it takes to build a life in a new country. I will advocate for policies that protect immigrant families, expand access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity, and ensure language access and equitable treatment in government services. I will also work to strengthen legal protections, support workforce pathways, and uplift immigrant voices so every Marylander can thrive with dignity and opportunity.
