I am not opposed to additional data centers as they can bring jobs and investment to Maryland. However, I don't support growth that comes at the expense of our communities. When data centers strain our power grid, water supply and land use and families have to pay the price-that's a problem. Responsible development means that companies pay their fair share, use resources wisely and grow in a way that doesn't threaten or burden residents.
Aging infrastructure requiring costly repairs, the rapid growth of energy intesive data centers draining supply and the reirement of older power plants before sufficient replacement capacity is online are all contributing to rising utility costs. As a delegate, I will advocate for policies that require large energy users like data centers to pay their fair share of grid upgrades, invest in reliable and modern energy infrastructure and expand energy efficiency programs to lower costs for families
Public transportation should be improved across the state with emphasis placed on availability and reliability. A reliable system will connect people jobs, schools, healthcare and opportunity. Too many communities-especially working families, youth and older adults are left without dependable options which limits mobility and economic stability. I support improving and expanding transit so it's accessible, affordable and functional for all residents.
My top three budget priorities are community safety, lowering cost of living and economic opportunity. I will fight to protect programs that stabilize families and strengthen communities while focusing on smart targeted investments that deliver real resulst while holding agencies accountable and cutting waste where it doesn't serve residents. A balanced budget should never come at the expense of people's basic needs.
Immigrants are a vital part of our communities, our culture and our economy. I will support policies that ensure immigrant communities have real access to opportunity, protection and essential services. That includes expanding language access, increasing support for legal defense programs, improving access to healthcare and education and strengthening worker and housing protections. I will also advocate for policies that help skilled immigrants enter the workforce and contribute to the economy.

I support responsible development, not unchecked growth. Data centers should only move forward where infrastructure can handle the demand without raising costs or straining resources for residents. We need strong standards on energy, water, and land use, and clear benefits for the surrounding community.
Utility costs are rising because of aging infrastructure, increasing demand, and a lack of transparency. I will push for stronger oversight, smarter investment in our energy systems, and expanded access to more affordable energy options. Residents should not be paying more without clear accountability.
Yes. Public transportation should be more reliable, accessible, and connected across our state. Too many communities are left out. Expanding service helps people get to work, school, and essential services, and supports long term economic growth for the entire region.
My top priorities are strengthening education, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and investing in communities that have been historically overlooked. I will support programs that create stability for families while ensuring responsible, transparent use of taxpayer dollars.
I support policies that ensure immigrant communities can safely access education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. That includes strengthening local resources and protecting due process. Our communities are stronger when people can contribute, build, and live with dignity and stability.

Data centers are terrible for our environment. They pollute the air, they use insane amounts of water to cool. We are getting close to a water crisis because of these centers. I also, frankly, cannot stand many of the CEOs who want to build these data centers. They profit off black and brown neighborhoods and infect communities and bribe politicians. I will not support additional centers being built in our state.
Many factors are contributing to rising utility costs. The proliferation of data centers across our state, and Northern Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The monopoly BGE holds on this city is another reason. Aging infrastructure is another factor. Our President's decision to bend to oil and gas companies.

I would support a return to renewable energy. I would support more subsidies for electric cars. I would support more offshore wind. I would support releasing our city from the clutches of BGE.
Our public transit is simply not enough. We were denied a real subway system ten years ago by Hogan. It was another example of how outdated, racist policies have made it harder for black and brown communities to get to their jobs and access reliable transit. We need a train system that goes to all communities. We need more than the Light Rail. We need to rethink how we build a transit system for today and for tomorrow.
I will fight to make no additional cuts to the Blueprint for Maryland's Future. I will remove any funding for ICE detention centers. I will commit to funding conservation efforts to ensure we're focusing on building the environment and not destroying it. I believe strongly in raising the age kids age out of foster care, so I would want money to go towards ensuring our youth have access to housing and job training and mental health services until 26.
Immigrants are a vital part of this state. I will work to defund ICE. I will work to get immigrant families out of wherever they are being unlawfully held. I will make sure they are protected. I will refuse any detention centers be built. I will protect children who have been unlawfully detained. I will demand accountability and transparency from the government.

I support responsible data center development in Maryland because it can create jobs, generate tax revenue, and provide long-term economic investment as technology and AI continue to advance. However, this growth must be accompanied by strong safeguards. Data centers should be constructed in ways that protect Maryland’s water supply and avoid putting excessive strain on the power grid. Developers should invest in energy solutions, including dedicated or renewable power sources.
To address this, Maryland must invest in modernizing and expanding the grid while allowing more energy suppliers to compete in the market. Diversifying energy sources, including renewable and alternative energy, can improve reliability and reduce long-term costs. Encouraging new infrastructure and competition can also help stabilize prices.

My focus would be on strengthening the grid, expanding supply options, and ensuring residents are protected from unnecessary cost increases.
Yes , Projects like the Red Line are important because they can help connect neighborhoods to economic opportunity and make it easier for people to access employment across the region. Strong public transit also supports workforce mobility, reduces traffic congestion, and strengthens the overall economy.

Investing in reliable and accessible transportation helps ensure that growth benefits more communities and that residents have practical, affordable ways to move throughout the state.
My top budget priorities would be strengthening education, healthcare, supporting economic and workforce development, and protecting critical community services. I will fight for strong investment in our public schools while ensuring funding reaches classrooms and supports local flexibility. I will also prioritize programs that help small businesses grow, expand job training, and connect residents to stable employment.
Immigrants are an important part of Maryland’s communities and economy. On day one, I would introduce legislation to strengthen state support for immigrants pursuing legal status and citizenship. This includes expanding funding for programs that help with naturalization preparation, legal guidance, and workforce integration. I also support partnerships with community organizations that help immigrant families access education, job training, and essential services.

At this time, I do not fully support additional data centers in Maryland. While they may provide tax revenue, we must first fully understand their environmental impact, energy demands, and long-term economic benefits. Any gains should not come at the expense of already burdened ratepayers facing high energy costs. A more balanced, regulated and evidence-based approach is needed before expansion.
Multiple factors drive high energy costs in Maryland. Utilities are passing costs of unstarted infrastructure projects onto ratepayers, worsened by high PJM market prices and 2024 capacity auction mismanagement. I will support legislation to strengthen Public Service Commission oversight, pause rate hikes, suspend PJM increases for two years, expand in-state alternative energy, and enforce stronger consumer protections with clear, itemized billing.
Public transportation availability should be improved across the state. Limited coverage outside major areas forces multiple transfers, making it difficult for residents to reach work, medical appointments, and essential services. In addition, frequent delays, unpredictable schedules, and long wait times further hinder access and reduce quality of life. Expanding and streamlining transit is essential for equitable mobility.
My top three budget priorities are closing tax loopholes for large businesses to ensure they pay their fair share, addressing housing and childcare affordability, and supporting community development that promotes housing stability, homeownership, business growth, and population growth. I will also fight to fully fund education initiatives, including the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, so every child can thrive.
In addition to fully supporting the ban on 287(g) agreements, I will enforce strict oversight to ensure compliance. I will close informal cooperation loopholes by restricting automatic data transfers and requiring a judicial process before personal information is shared. Additionally, I will expand legal, social, and community support services to empower and protect immigrant communities across Maryland.
