Yes!
Special election where all voters can be heard.
I want to help elect local Democrats and Independents to posts throughout Talbot County.
I have many years of experience in business and have also worked on many campaigns. I understand the importance of transparency for all candidates and voter education.
I support special elections to fill these vacancies. I do wish to point out however that most individuals are not prepared to move quickly enough to run an effective special election campaign. Individuals who have any interest in any potential run for office should look to the Central Committee and other knowledgeable individuals to assess their readiness for running in campaigns and to address steps needed to be taken.
Whether as a public voter or as central committee member, I value the qualifications and assets an individual has for fulfilling the role. A good candidate would have a strong interest and knowledge in state government, skills to fulfill constituency work, and the time to allow them to adequately fill the role.
As a native of Talbot County whose parents played significant roles in the community and as one who had served valuable roles as well, I see it as an opportunity to play a critical role here. I moved away mainly because of the lack of a career path locally. I would like to help ensure a better quality of living for all.

I also see that I have assets that can be tapped for progress including my management experience, knowledge management skills, and familiarity with some technology.
I plan to meet with candidates and discuss their experience, ability to engage with voters and peers, interests in government, and knowledge of state (and/or local) government. I will do due diligence in reading through resumes as well. I will work to ensure those involved in the appointment process fully vet candidates and consider the full realm of the community.
